This is absolutely a PHENOMENAL amv. I discovered it in April of 2016 and have been watching it very often since then. The song itself is perfection, the editing is supreme and the overall atmosphere of the amv is just ethereal. I have no words for how impactful this amv was for me. I consider it one of the most well-done and atmospheric Madoka amvs of all time. It baffles me why it's not more popular...

Did Homura crush her soul by crushing her soul gem? Does this mean her soul will never be the same again?

+Anime User that's a very good question, I haven't watched Madoka Magica in a while but from what I remember is that it is questionable if at this point crushing her soul gem is even important anymore - to me what is happening to Homura is that she has become a fallen angel for the sole purpose to save her loved one; meaning that she is already lost (and her soul is already lost)/ and will no matter be able to restore her soul (aside the fact that she never cared for her soul - like making a deal with a devil kind of trade: soul for saving Madoka) no matter if she crushed her soul gem or not - in this context crushing her soul gem might have been just a visible metaphor for us watchers to see her soul being crushed by what is happening to her and everyone around, hope this answer helps you out! -Best regards MG

+MalishitiGei Oh Yeah I'm certain it's a visible metaphor too. Kyuubey already trashed her soul beyond repair by experimenting on her to speed up her witch transformation. Plus the witch transformation artificially created by Kyuubey was what corrupted her love for Madoka to turn her into a fallen angel.. Even Kyuubey at the end seeing the monster he turned Homura into said "I should've never tried to tamper with human emotions. They're too unpredictable." AKA his infamous last words. She was too fa r gone from what Kyuubey did to her for her crushing her own soul gem to matter.
