~CHECK THE DESCRIPTION BOX FOR THE LIST OF INGREDIENTS.~ MORE DETAILS ON HOW TO MAKE YOUR PERNIL: -It's best to Season your Pernil 2-3 days before you make it. Put it in the Fridge. -It's best to put it in the oven around 6-7am. If it's a much smaller Pernil, put it in the oven around 8-9am. -I usually cook my Pernil for 7-8 hours. Please keep in mind on the size of your Pernil. If it's big, cook for 7-8 hours. If it's small, cook for 5-6 hours. I usually get bigger Pork Shoulders because I have a huge Family. :-) -Put it in the oven @ 320 degrees, COVERED (with Aluminum Foil), for at least 5-6 hours (best if it's 5 1/2 hours if it's a big Pernil)... If you have a much smaller Pernil, leave it @ 320 degrees, COVERED, for at least 3 1/2 hours. -Check up on your Pernil every 2-3 hours. Don't take it out of the oven! I only did it in this Video to show you the process, how it starts browning, etc. But, I don't recommend it (til it's done). -Put it @ 370-380 degrees (depending on your stove), UNCOVERED during the LAST 1 1/2-2 HOURS PROCESS. You can do this with the big Pernil or a smaller one. -If your Pork Skin (Cuero) does not look brownish enough, you may have to bump up your heat to 400 (but keep at eye on it every 30 minutes or so). Also know that the Pork Skin hardens once you let it sit for 15 minutes before cutting it. You may think it's soft, but let it sit (UNCOVERED)-it does hardens up. ** I forgot to mention this in the Video: DO NOT add all of the Pork Broth. You wanna add a DECENT amount (enough to cover the bottom pan), but you don't wanna add so much that it's OVER your Pernil. Keep that mind. ALSO, add your Cueros (Pork Skin) around your tray AFTER adding the broth. Putting the Broth on top of your Pork Skin WILL make it soggy. That's why I did that step afterwards in this video. ***

so THATS how my titi made the garlic sauce for tostones! she passed before I could get a lot of the recopies from her. Thank you so much for sharing!

Sorry to hear about your Titi. May she rest in peace, love. I'm sure she's watching you and always protecting you. It's always good to take some cooking tips from the elders. They know best! ☺... You can use the Garlic Blends to marinade your meats, make your beans, stews, rice, soup, etc. If you're gonna make Tostones, use any garlic blends you saw in this video-(yes, I've done ajo with the Culantro or Cilantro one as well)... Use the Olive Oil from the jar, add white Vinegar, S&P, mix and you have some delicious Ajo for your Tostones. May you have a blessed day and thank you for commenting. ❤

Thank you so much. It really is... And it's so soft and moist. Don't add too much of the brine from the pork. You wanna put enough, but not so much that it covers the whole pork shoulder. Also, do NOT add the brine on top of the Pork Skin (Cuero). It can get soggy. That's why I added the Pork Skin around the tray AFTER I added the brine to my Pernil. Hope these tips helps. Thank you for commenting and may you have a lovely day. ❤

That looks delicious. Did you say you set your oven at 350 for 7 - 8 hour? And then you take off the aluminum foil and bump it up at 37O to 400? How long do you leave it in the oven?

Okay, love... I added all of the information in the Description Box and I pinned it on the Comment Section. I hope that helps. ☺

Hey, how are you? I'm gonna write it all down in the Description Box right now. Maybe I should've been more clearer in this Video. I was food prepping so much that day-I was done! LOL! But, more videos (from this day) is coming soon. PLEASE check the Description Box for more details as to how long to leave your Pernil in the oven, etc... I hope it helps. Thank you for commenting. It really does helps my Video/s get recommended. May you have a fantastic day. ❤
