In this video we went on a roadtrip to the South East side of the Island of Puerto Rico. It is a totally different atmosphere down there. The mountain views look like somewhere in Asia to me, the views were breathtaking. There was a lot of "untouched land" as well in the South East. We passed many farms, and vacant lots of land, grassy areas.
On this roadtrip we first stopped in Maunabo at the "Villa Pesquera de Maunabo", specifically in the barrio of Emajagua. This was indeed a fishing town, many of the local residents lived right by the shoreline and they had their fishing boats floating in the water, tied down in front of their homes. Apparently they are the ones that provide seafood to the restaurants in the area. Amazing.
After Maunabo we stopped in Patillas and went to "Playa Guardarraya "or "Playa Inches", and we got to see a nice shoreline until it started raining very hard and we had to leave.
Finally our last stop was Arroyo. Here in Arroyo they have a malecón called "Paseo de las Américas". At the time that we went, there weren't too many people but we were told that food vendors and trucks come out, restaurants have karaoke, and live music. I would definitely come back maybe on a Friday night to see the night life.
