Puerto Rico Special edition you don't need it!

Before the Gamefound campaign, I had not played Puerto Rico but was always interested in it because it is obviously still a really good game (and I backed the CoB deluxe edition). After the launch, I looked at the cost versus value and decided to buy the existing 1897 edition for ~$38 USD and played my first game this past weekend. The campaign’s retail edition costs at least double what I just paid (when shipping is factored), and so for me the upgrades/improvements in that AW version fail to justify the extra cost.

I just did the same : with the deluxe campaign, the existing version of puerto rico 1897 is discounted ... i just paid it 26€ with shippings.

I'm interested to play with 1 or 2 automa players since it's usually just me and my wife

Like every game that is just adding bling, you can absolutely skip this one; also, AR is doing this so, big fat NO. Plus, for a Euro-trash game, a remake totally defeats one of the focal point of those games; which is the "amateur-ish" look of the components :P

just another cash grab just like that game Teotihuacan i watched some unboxing and rants about it,, it was a terrible project,,and it will take i think 2 years for you to get this one and by that time the hype and excitement is already gone. some people just have to fight the FOMO
