2 days in old San Juan.. really cool city but not for longer than that. Maybe check out luquillo then go to isla culebra and do a boat trip to tortuga. Call captain bill or Capn Dave. Flamenco beach and Tortuga beach are 2 of the top 5 beaches in the world. Probably best/easiest and cheaper to fly there from San Juan.. the ferry is iffy and it’s cheapest to rent a car just to get to the ferry. Rincon is cool but it takes forever to get there... I’d say 4 hr drive from San Juan. Not fun, lots of toll roads and the drivers are crazy AF. Make sure to eat tripletas, pan de agua sandwiches, pasteles and lechonara.. drink Don q rum and gasolinas..no one there would drink Bacardi. Make your own food if you like cooking, the restaurants there are $$$$$ and you’d be surprised at how unhealthy the food is. Learn a little Spanish and know the locals take their time doing anything and will always lie to you😂. Do Airbnb wherever you go. Contact them before you go and try staying for a week.. they’ll prolly give you a 25-50% discount. Rent a golf cart on culebra or do public transit. Camp on flamenco beach! Highly suggest going to culebra.. the main island can be a complete shit show and was the worst place I’ve been in the world as far as culture shock goes😂🤪. Check out I Need Vacations channel. He has some sweet videos about PR. Good luck and if you need any help reach out👍🏼

Great video! We stayed in the Condado area for a couple nights, and the beach waters were so treacherous that while wading I got knocked down! Thankfully my husband grabbed me before I was carried out with the currents, which were so strong. I ended up losing my sunglasses, getting completely soaked head to toe, and coming out of the ocean with my bottoms and top FULL of sand! I was laughing from the shock, but that beach has crazy strong waves that could be dangerous to anyone. I don’t recommend anyone wading or trying to swim there while there are waves.

Please don’t still promoting that is cheap coming down here because it is no true. Probably tickets are, but stay and food isn’t. In the last six months, we had received the worst kind of tourists ever. Destroying the peace we always have in Condado, Isla Verde & San Juan. It is nice to welcome people but this ones that are arriving looking for the cheap trips you’re promoting are not. STOP!

Customer service is terrible in PR. Food averages 40 minutes to reach table. Appetizers 20 minutes to reach table. Large parties of 5 or more could take upto 2 hours wait to be sat due to guidelines and table spacing. People move slow. There are union strikes going on and you will expirence blackout. Water shortages due to not having electricity to power water. Food is dry.... but the island, waters are beautiful. Just try to be really patient. I stayed in an airbnb we didn't have water or electricity for 1 day and low water pressure and electricity for 4 days. I had to buy water. Also during the outages its best to have cash. There is a car rental shortage and locals rent cars to drive uber/lyft and earn income so due to a car shortage there is always surge prices on uber/lyft. Bring/ wear reef safe sunscreen 🌴😘🥰

I live in Isla Verde (a place the video mentioned) and it's great. There is a restaurant called Bistro in the area where you could eat breakfast and lunch and I'd recommend going! Puerto Rico (Borikén) is an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea consisting of the main island, four small islands, and hundreds of cays and islets. Thanks for the tips, I lived in Puerto Rico with my parents but I was young and never got to go a lot of those places before we moved to the US and never stayed in resorts. I leave in Pennsylvania and I would love to take my American fiancée one day. When are the best months to go for a long getaway weekend!?

So Puerto Rico I haven’t visited since I was 6 so it will be a new experience to me. I love this video it as very informative. I think since it’s my first adult visit I’ll stay at old San Juan to see the historical sites. Next time I’ll stay in fahardo.

Wow that’s amazing! Yes it will totally be a new experience but my favorite thing is the smell of the humidity when you first arrive it’s like you can smell the rainforest and staying in old San Juan is nice and central for the sites and fajardo is good for all the excursions on the east side and near el yunque. Have an amazing trip!

Great video. But El Yunque is not the only rainforest in the Caribbean. It is the only rainforest in the US Caribbean territories. Dominica, where I am from as well as Guyana and Martinique have numerous rainforests. Even though Guyana is on the south American mainland, it is part of the Caribbean.

Is uploading your covid test to the website hard in anyway? I’m planning on going next month and I had no clue I had to do this all
@DanaBerez
@DanaBerez 3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Great question, so it wasn't hard to upload but they only allow you to upload it the same day. SO if you receive your results sooner from the lab you will have to wait until your day of departure to upload.

@DanaBerez

Thank you for watching and glad you found it helpful. You do not need a COVID test to return back to the USA mainland since Puerto Rico is apart of the USA. So you would still be technically traveling within the country .

You should visit La Parguera in Lajas because its home to a small ferry boat that takes you to another island. It has a Tarzan style jungle lagoon where you can literally swing on it.
