Me and my friend just went out to take home a puffball and a chicken! I’m just double-checking here on yt to see if it’s not just black spores I need to worry about. I’ve only ever seen giant puffballs be eaten, so I’m studying!

depends on how it is cooked but very good

They're quite mild but they take on flavor very well and have a very delicate texture. Quick saute with some butter or oil gives it the texture of something like scallops to me

We used to stomp on these all the time when we were kids (1960's.) They grew on the lawn in no time at all.

The ones I remember were browner and when you stomped on them, what we as kids though was dust came out of them. In retrospect we were helping to spread spores.

Yes they turn brown when they get ready to spore the ones in the video were fresh and had just popped up

Super light yellow is ok mainly at the bottom and stay away from anything brown

Olive oil and i didn't peel it the oil is not real critical use what you got and you can peel it if you want doesn't really matter the main thing is to wash it good and get it early before bugs get it and you're welcome glad you enjoyed it
