I have just harvested several puffball mushrooms. It rained for a few days in the Chicago area. I went to the woods today and found hundreds of giant puffball mushrooms. I harvested 4 because that's all I could carry. I will cook them tomorrow.

@@alchannel009Hi I have just found some today in a field full of cows who were watching me pick them I then went inside a cut them into 1×2 inch square pieces fried them for 5 minutes in Garlic butter with some salt and black pepper and they were absolutely delicious! Try them and you won't be disappointed, enjoy 😉

Before you zoomed in on that mushroom, I thought it was a cauliflower! LOL I thought you were just joking. I've never seen a mushroom like that before. Very interesting video...thanks!

Nice recipes, I collect giant puff pastry recipes. Here in Germany, everyone seems to only know giant puffball schnitzel. They're not my thing.

Thanks for the information, never tried them before but having found a couple this morning thought I'd better cook em up. 👍 🏴

Just cooked one up last week. Split it with two other friends because a basketball sized puffball is way too much for me to eat by myself. I only have to go as far as my back yard to harvest them. Lol

Twin Cities, how does this taste compare to a morel?
@TwinCitiesAdventures3 жыл бұрын
It’s hard to explain, they just taste like two completely different mushrooms kind a like all vegetables taste differently and all fruit taste differently.

Can you eat it raw?

I don’t think you’re supposed to eat raw mushrooms out of the wild.
