I appreciate your pointing out that the price is too steep. It is most definitely over-priced; be it R&D recoup, Brand tax, or both. Moreover, in-built batteries have a shelf life: these devices will be landfill waste at some point, and that really needs to stop being standard.

I'd really love to see you do a review on the Divine Tribe v5 atomizer/heater or the Crossing Core 2.0 e-rig (which uses the same coil as the DTv5 atomizer). The Core 2.0 is like if the Puffco Peak was actually any good. Great taste and vapor production (obviously different heat settings are appropriate for different concentrates), with 4 heat settings ranging from about 400°F to about 500°F, the ceramic cup-coils with wiring inside are EXACTLY like the coils in the Proxy (Puffco stole the design which the v5 atomizer has already been using for some time), very easy to use, simple to maintain, good battery life, the carb-cap has vortex airflow to help spread concentrate around in the bowl evenly (which can be improved even further by adding a 4mm SiC terp peal), high quality build that comes with a nice case like the one in this video for the Proxy, and the glass portion of the e-rig can be taken out of the base and swapped out with different ones. Not quite as versatile as the Proxy's design in terms of what it can be attached to, but given some of the disappointing things I've seen from Puffco in the past, I'm much more inclined to trust the companies involved with the Divine Tribe products, ie: 'Humboldt Vape Tech' and 'iNeedHemp.com'. Any time I have ordered anything from either of these websites (even just a pack of coils), they always include a business card with the PERSONAL contact information of the owner. And they do answer if you have questions or need help. You get very very different service from a larger company like Puffco, especially when their customer service isn't known to be very good (ie: Puffco's customer service). Oh, and you can find the Core 2.0 for as low as $160. Nearly half the price of the Proxy. The DTv5 heater/atomizer is an amazing device, but it's definitely less user friendly than the Core 2.0 e-rig. It must be attached to a 510-threaded mod and setting it up to function accurately with temperature settings on the mod can be a real pain. That being said, if you can find a 510 mod that is compatible with a custom firmware like Arctic Fox or Red Panda, this device is essentially a more customizable and more portable (easily pocketable, depending on the mod you attach it to!) version of the Core 2.0 e-rig, just without the glass waterpipe piece. It looks just like an e-juice tank vape, and is very discrete. The short vaporpath causes harsher hits on high temperatures, but there are a number of portable water-attachments that are compatible with this device. They even offer a glass bottomless banger that you can insert the atomizer into the bottom of, and set a carbcap on top to attach it to a waterpipe. I've seen some phenomenal products from Divine Tribe over the past 5 years, and I have never understood why they haven't caught on more than they have. I've never seen advertising or marketing for their products, and that's the only explanation I can fathom.

Yes I absolutely love my dtv4.5 with the bottomless banger. I have a large rig collection so its awesome to be able to get milky tasty rips off any of those. The one cool thing about the proxy is being able to hook it up to a rig. But with puffcos poor customer service history it makes me skeptical. After using the divine tribe stuff I feel like I can't go back to anything I can't fix myself, and the replacement parts are so cheap and the results are so amazing I can't see myself using anything else in the near future. Also being able to mimic taking a "real" dab with a carb cap and banger is priceless to me haha 😆

@@sammybear7100 I'm with you all the way. I used to have the v4 back in like 2017 and it was not even comparable to all the crappy, cheap Yocan wax pens that were on the market at the time. Even back then it was still practically just like taking a dab with a banger and torch minus the water-filtering (unless you had a Poseidon bubbler and then it really was practically the same) but the v5 is a huge step up from the v4 was 5 years ago. Never owned the v4.5 so I can't really speak to that one, but it might be worth upgrading to the v5. With the v5, the coils are heated throughout both the bottom and the sides of the cup, which not only results in better, more even vapor production, but also enables you to clean and maintain the coils much more easily by firing them on wattage mode at 36w for 60 continuous seconds while holding it upside down then allowing it to cool before firing it again to avoid damaging the coil. This will burn off any stubborn spots or stains on the coil that don't want to come off with iso and a q-tip and keep your coil nice and clean.

@@DylanKreutzer I actually have the v5 but i still prefer the v4.5 cuz of the sic cup. To me the clouds are milkier and less harsh than on the v5. I use the v5 for my on the go set up tho cuz its a lot less finicky. I even tried the sic insert for the v5 but it was too much cleanup cuz the oil would get under the cup

Nah unfortunately in America I can attest that people have tried the bottom of the barrel dry herb vapes so they think dry herb vaping sucks when it’s the most amazing thing in the world. The ceo of puffco the king of hash I can guarantee he said so himself doesn’t plan on any dry herb vapes because he thinks they are worthless 😂 which coming from him is the worst hot take of my life.

There is a dry herb Cap for this one, so you can just use this for both. It also has a bubbler base for those who want ^^

Hey Pete. Boost mode doesn't work like you explained at 7:05. Boost mode, as described in the instructions allows you to increase the time on the setting you chose by 10 seconds. The lights don't change though. You need to click 3 times to get into "disco mode" but it only changes the light pattern. If you are on the white setting you can click 5 times after the device has heated up to get into the "Easter egg" mode. It put's the chamber at the highest temp (not sure what that number is. A few places on the internet give different numbers. Also, if you own a Dr. Dabber Switch, you can use the orig. glass water pipe that came with it to house the proxy in the top. You just need to find something to close the bottom the glass below where the proxy sits and you got yourself a water bubbler. I have a few silicone dab containers that plug it up really well! Weed Me 14g milled glass container lids fit perfectly in the bottom when you have the silicone gasket installed. No gasket needed on the top where the proxy slips in. Can't wait to see what kind of vessels you can come up with! My wife says I look like an old man with my pipe when I am out and about using it.

Yes, you just have to buy the additional flower bowl. It’s on their website. Just google puffco proxy flower bowl. Just keep in mind you will need to clean that way more often then using hash. Cheers.
