French Buldog : Why don't you ask him / her : " parlez vous français " :-) I'm kidding, mate. Hope you don't mind me making a joke. I am from Germany. My neighbor's daughter has asked me today for taking some care of her French bulldog. I agreed, I love animals. We share our lifes with 2 budgerigars, 4 degus ( rodents from Chile/South America...similar to guinea pigs and/or chinchilla), and our black "miniature panther" Schnietzie...our black cat. The dog's name is " WILMA" . She is a real French Lady, 8 months old Madmoiselle" Vilma", and she has yet eaten almost all of my cat's food . My cat ( also a female) cannot do with "Wilma" . Wilma is almost cat- size, so both my cat and the French bulldog don't respect each other.since they consider themselfes rivals, opponents. They'd never attack each other, but they'd going own ways. So there ain't any problems. Cats and dogs can be best freinds, we know about it. But unfortunately cats and dogs do not speak and understand the " same language". That's the difference, which is the reason for sometimes misunderstandings. WILMAAAA! She is such a funny dog. Wilma, the name reminds of " The Flintstones ". French buldogs are really very swinging, fun-loving pets, showing a behaviours of their own, a special demand of their own and since those species are to be handled carefully...cauze of their short legs and flat nose-mouth anatomy...nonetheless they may bring joy and fun to their holders. I'm with you. I own a pug and I would never tease my baby like this. There are other ways of giving them some mental stimulation. He asked them to sit like 4 or 5 times before he finally gave it to them. I think it's mean. It's OK to give a command and then reward them but asking over and over again while they're not getting anything out of it so many times would be frustrating for the poor little guys. I think owners so this just for their own contentment. I know it's not bc they're trying to give them mental stimulation. That's a load of crap. Our babies love us so much and they don't deserve to be teased while they're dying to finally get that tiny treat. Stop it already
