Esther was the daughter of Mordecai, who happened to save the life of King one day. When the king announces that he is looking for wise and intelligent woman to marry, Mordecai asks Esther to participate, and she wins the King. When Esther becomes the Queen, Mordecai is relieved as he thought she would help the jews living in the country. But Haanan the minister manages to trick the King into giving orders against the Jews.
