I'd rather have the twin 200's. Not just for the added power, but if anything happens out in open water, at least you can limp home with the other engine. A sea tow or fuel delivery can set you back thousands.

James, that was an exceptionally well presented intro to the Axopar and especially helpful to those of us who are just becoming aware of the capabilities of these pocket cruisers cum recreational boats. There didn't seem to be a missed topic I could identify and it's especially useful to hear the fuel burn/cruising speed numbers you provided near the end. I wonder if you have a thought about how you might introduce some modest cooking possibilities on this cabin model, given the outside aft galley can't be included. E.g. might that starboard aft seat be removed, allowing for the temporary addition of a owner supplied counter on which a temporary burner might be placed? Thanks VERY much for this video.

I've always wondered about the "soft top" as it would mold and overtime be broken? Wish they had hardtop

The sliding roof has proven to be really durable. We have been using this system since 2016 on the early boats.

Could the cross cabin version be used for a liveaboard? Is the 28 a little small to the 38?

You have to make that answer yourself as everyone has different standards. Personally, I would never live on any axopar.

nice design, should be aluminium though, need to stop producing more fibreglass boats.
