I bought one of these for my 1200 today. I always had a lot of wind noise in the helmet with the old screen and after testing, putting my hand on top of the windshield it got nice n quiet, So this windshield is three inches taller and i went for a ride today and wow what a difference! Now I can hear the triple special sound at five grand and above! Music to my ears and nice n quiet for the cruising.

When I clean the bugs off my screen, I use a microfiber towel, soak it in hot water and ring some out, then set it over the windscreen, and it softens up all the bug mess, which helps that stuff come off easy. White Vinegar and distilled water work pretty good as well.

Agreed. Hot wet towel draped over the screen for a couple minutes and then wipe off.

Always appreciate your reviews. Had a moto pumps air compressor initially, but it was really practical with my city/touring style so I picked up the fanttik X8 because I remembered you reviewed one that you got a hold of. It’s great. Currently was experiencing a lot of wind on my chest/shoulders, and lower body that would eventually leave me cold to the bone. I heard about the Puig some time ago, decided to check some reviews. And yours was the first to pop up. Purchased the windscreen after watching. Thanks, for your review of the Windy9, did that. I grabbed a Fanttik, and now the new wind screen. You are a big help. Ride well my friend.

All you guys should try using the GIVI touring windshield, there is one for the tiger explorer GT but fits on the rally models, check it out, works nice and the quality seems to be better.

You mention heading for Alaska. As a heads up, if you are not aware there is a large wildfire at Ft Nelson near the BC-Yukon boarder. The Alaska Hiway has been closed for a few days. The fire is currently uncontrollable. Check your routes before you depart. Unfortunately wild fire will be a factor in the north unless we get a lot of rain. It’s been an exceptionally dry winter in the north west. Good luck with your trip.

I have one on my Super Tenere, can’t fault it and I got it for £60. 😊

Thanks for the vid👍 I chose a WRS screen it’s 505mm width and 420mm in height, which equates to slightly taller and wider than stock works well for me.. I’ve also just added the Puig upper wind deflectors (they’re expensive but quite effective at reducing wind on my arms. How I clean my screen, mist the screen with clean water using a plant mister or a disused shower clean mister, the key to zero scratching is to use quality clothes like Griot's Garage 55583 PFM Crinkle Glass Towels not cheap, but boy are they good. Make sure the screen is soaked and keep it wet as you move the cloth in one direction NO PORTHOLE’ing lol. Enjoy your tour up to Alaska, can only imagine how cool that would be 👍🇬🇧

I have one on mine and found a bit of flex at higher speeds but overall it was well worth the money.

I'm waiting for Madstad to make a screen for the 1200. It should be wider than the Puig. They have one for the 900 which is really good.

At its lowest position are you able to look over the windscreen? Did you notice any change to the wind on your arms? Safe travels to AK! Cheers 🥃🥃

Yes. I can look over at one notch from the top.It is not wide enough to help arms very much.

So when you get yo Alaska stop and say hi. You coming for our HOG Rally? Bring warm clothes and GOOD rain gear. If your riding up be sure to get gas at every station. You never know if you'll make the next one or if it's going to be open. I've lived here 39 years and been to Sturgis 16 times.

Hey! I bought a used tiger 1200 and it came with this screen. I mounted it today but I think I am missing the correct screws and washers. Do you know the measurements of them and what is needed? I mounted it using the OEM screws for the original windshield. Also having some trouble lining it up with the plastic bit at the bottom
@LivingOffTheSlab2 ай бұрын
I used the OEM screws and they worked fine. Everything lines up. I would look at the parts diagram. Look to see if Triumph of Cleveland has it available.

I've had BMW RT's before I owned my '23 Triumph GT Explorer. So, I'm spoiled when it comes to weather/wind protection. I bought the Givi windscreen and from what I can tell from your video, it's about the same. Now I'm looking at the Puig wind deflectors that replace the small bottom side factory deflectors. (above the turn indicators) They're pricey, at around $180. But I really want to cut down on lateral wind on my arms and chest on long trips on the freeway. It gets a bit noisy and tiring. I would love for you to check that out and let us know if they work.
@LivingOffTheSlab6 ай бұрын
Ok, I will buy those $180 deflectors and get right in that. ;-)

Craig, I have been rockin' a '23 GT Pro with the same screen for about a year. At 6'4", I wanted a little more protection than the stock screen provided. Have mine in the mid position and have not moved it up or down since ... Alaska ... did you decide to ride or trailer across the upper U.S.? Safe trip, sir! Ned, SC
