Bobby did a vlive and someone asked about the rap unit. Bobby said he don’t wanna do it at first, he was thinking to make Chanwoo do it for fun. But when he first met Sunwoo and Hwiyoung, they were so passionate about it so he changed his mind that he want to do well for the performance. im a deobi but I can't ignore how good of a mentor Bobby is. he was so polite and sweet to both of them and they genuinely had so much fun performing. for his level, he could have had some kinda special part but he didn't. the song itself is so groovy and good enough to be on an album. unlike the other performance where the senior artist came at the end?? with a special entrance?? Bobby has always put himself last or has given himself the smallest part when he’s written a song for his team. He does it because he wants his teammates to have a bigger part and because he’s confident that nothing will detract him from his own part. He doesn’t need all the eyes on him, he knows he will be the one we end up talking about anyways regardless of what happens and it’s true here too. He likes doing solo stuff and that’s where he experiments but in a team….he always wants the members to shine more and he sees himself as a supporting role. That’s why we love him. He’s like a leader in that sense but he doesn’t want to be bothered by all the responsibilities that come with the job. In iKON now there’s no true leader but they don’t need one. Jinhwan is strict, Yunhyeong is the cheerleader and boost moral, Chanwoo puts the most innovating ideas, Donghyuk is now the composer producer and choreographer plus he’s the most meticulous without being overbearing and Junhoe although being one of the most popular voices has Zero ambitions for solo work because he likes being in a team. B.I. Will always have a spot if iKON leaves yge to join him but even B.I. Said during M&M survival that seeing his team split up and mentor the new trainees he was relieved that the members themselves became strong leaders and he wasn’t needed for everything. He had faith that nothing would stop them.

I really didn't want to do it." Bobby said although he didn't want to, looking at how they'll have to keep working hard so the rank can keep going up, so he ended up doing it anyway and got to team up with Sunwoo and Hwiyoung. But still, he wanted to just let them come up with ideas and do whatever they wanted, and Bobby told them yeah they should work hard but not over the line and that's about it, but Sunwoo and Hwiyoung had so much enthusiasm in them, so he was like, "Man, I need to help them out for real, we have to work hard," so he worked hard. Do you realize how impactful Bobby did on this stage? He stepped back and let Hwiyoung and Sunwoo shine to give them a performance to remember, somewhat pivotal for their young careers. They will someday go back to this day and think how joyous it was to perform this while showing their skills, which isn't normally showcased in the usual kpop idol setting. This also opened doors for both Hwiyoung and Sunwoo to finally be recognized in the khh community that idol rappers are real rappers too. They can also do it--something Bobby did many years ago. This was definitely a sequel to Bobby's mission and passion to open up the world for idol rappers. Mad respect!

The difference is this is focused on rap music, and the rival group’s is more of a rap performance. If you close your eyes and just use your ears, you’ll see that this one is better. At the end of the day he is a SMTM winner anyway he has nothing else to prove, winning or losing on Kingdom means nothing to him. He prioritised in letting Sunwoo and Hwiyoung shine cuz they haven't had much hip hop opportunities as an idol and Bobby understands the struggle. All we knew is those popular ones, i am an iKONIC and to be honest i really dont know The Boyz and SF9, After watching them on Kingdom esp. the collab with 3 groups, i definitely now know why The Boyz won in Road to Kingdom, these guys are so passionate in what they do and SF9 too, u can see their desperation to win despite the fierce competition.
