Great video! I'd be curious as to how the setup work if the ABS system is still enabled. Possibly an error given there would be pressure for the rear circuit and not the front...

no erros. but ABS kicks in straight away

Will the added lines and cylinder not cause some resistence and shittery to ABS unit? (I am not 100% sure on how abs units works but I bet it regulates with differential pressure and you have a just added some resistence). An update after a drive would be nice just be careful :)

We do swap kits for vw 1.8 20v turbo engines and vr5/vr6 engines, so if you want some decent power in the little mr2 the easy way, give us a shout

Did you check the wheels both sides. When I did my apprenticeship at Toyota a couple decades ago, I'm sure they said the brakes where diagonally opposed. Meaning that one output on the master cylinder works the left front and right rear, and the other outlet did the other two wheels. Its supposed to be a safety feature, so that if a seal goes on the cylinder you still have 50% brakes rather than potentially just the rears which might not be enough to stop the car. I might be wrong though, its a long time since I worked as a mechanic properly, and even longer since I touched a Toyota with a spanner.

Thanks for the heads up. its 100% only for the rear! already tested properly.

I know this is a common system for a lot of tandem brake master cylinder cars, like my NC miata. An alternative to Ruski's setup is to run a tandem hydraulic hand brake master cylinder, aka a hand brake master cylinder which has 2 circuits on one master cylinder. These are run on a lot of group N rally cars and retain factory diagnally opposed ABS systems, as they're simply plumbed inline on the factory brake lines going to the rear calipers. Its more expensive than your normal hydraulic hand brake setup, but its one of the only ways to do it while retaining abs with diagonally opposed abs systems.

This is exactly what I was thinking while watching the video. Looks like that isn't the case for the MRS, but certainly worth verifying if tackling such a project..
