He tried to sell it on ebay. In July '16 he asked $49,000. It didn't sell so after 3 months and lowering the price to $15,000, it still didn't sell....last time it was on ebay was for $9,000. So, I guess trading cards are really just like slot machines for some people.
@BoomboxRocker6 жыл бұрын
It sold on May 11, 2018 for $20,000. no clue if the buyer actually paid or not.
@DaveC1396 жыл бұрын
so he did something wrong by trying to sell it, you would have rather him keep the card? Maybe he needed the money and i don't blame him for trying to get the most for that card. Its very hard to value a rare 1/1 pull like that. But slot machine or lucky pull he has chosen to sell, I see no problem with that. He put up his money and hit big and we all hope for the same one day.
@tuffgongc96 жыл бұрын
This guy sold it for $9000. Whoever bought it for $9000 RE-SOLD it in May and made a hefty profit.
@tuffgongc96 жыл бұрын
I have a worthpoint subscription. It sold in August 2017 with an OBO but I'm guessing that buyer never paid because it was re-listed by the same seller and it sold for $9000 in September. The listing that sold in May 2018 is not remotely the same listing... and is much more professional.
@markseager51776 жыл бұрын
I think his point is that breaking high ends sports card is a form of gambling, and the rate of return can be likened to slot machines. He's right. And - here is nothing wrong with that, but that doesn't change the fact.

I was just thinking the same thing...this reminds me of the glut of cards in the 80's...ruined the hobby forever for alot of people...myself included...the card companies are making way too many of what should be "collectible" cards...all they have to do is number something and these guys think its "special" or a gigantic "hit"...no thanks...just my opinion....i had been collecting since the 60's prior to stopping in the 80's...
@thekid11626 жыл бұрын
I guess since he is front of a camera that he needs to act... Too much drama for me. I agree, I will never join one of his breaks. Especially when he does not even know the product. Thinks he pulls 2 barrels in 1 case and then it is only a glove. What a let down. Over 17 minutes to break 4 boxes is a joke.

Why do you put your nice cards in cheap cellophane instead of a hard plastic case? Smh amateur
@jamesross1605 жыл бұрын
Lol you should look up how PSA says to do it before you critique. Soft sleeve then soft plastic. They dont recommend magnet or top loaders surprisingly.
@jamesross1605 жыл бұрын
@Matthew Wiley I think it's more of a size issue to be honest, too loose card has room to move around. To tight and you can do surface damage, and I've seen those magnet fail. But same can be said with a top loader and sleeves. Not sure what is best I've sent and recieved plenty in reinforced top loaders with a soft sleeve and piece a tape across the top with no issues. Honestly I was trolling a bit, cause that is what PSA use to say atleast.
