Tbf if you can do a couple pullups, you don't need to train bodyweight rows or the negative of the movement, you can just train pullups. I started out doing 4 sets of 3 and now, six weeks later, I'm doing 4 sets of 7. Granted I was in decent shape when I started and a lot of it was muscle memory, teaching the nervous system how to do the movement well using muscle that's already there, but I bet it's the same for a lot of people. It's not strength or technique, it's teaching your nervous system how to recruit more muscle fibers for an unfamiliar movement.

I'm actually on my way to buy a Pull Up bar lol, thank you for the guide, sir :)
@SleeplessNinja
@SleeplessNinja Жыл бұрын
I personally like doing pullups with my legs extended in front of me. Not only does it fix any strength leaks so you can do more pullups. It also works your core. The key though is not the number of pullups you can do but the quality of them. Fast on the way up and slow and controlled on the way down. Don't worry if you can only do 1-3 per set. With those rep ranges you will gain strength quickly and before you know it your pullup numbers will increase! Just remember consistently do pull ups 2-3 times a week (spread a day or two apart from each training session) and you will see results fast! Make sure to eat enough protein and calories. 0.7 to 1 gram per pound of lean body weight you weigh. You need that protein to repair all the muscle damage you do and grow 💪 Go get it kings and Queens 👑

I have never done pull ups. I plan to follow this video and attempt it. Question is: Do you think i will be able to perform pull ups after sometime.?
@bananalegend194
@bananalegend194 8 ай бұрын
@@sambodyhere yes, and probably faster than you think it would take, i reccomend negatives(jumping up to the bar and going down slowly) since the going down phase of a pullup(or the easy part of any exercise really) actually builds more strength than the actual pulling up, and if youre having trouble getting past the first part of the pullup you can try scapula pullups, which im not even gonna try to explain just search it up, and of course if you have good consistency you'll get it soon enough
@sambodyhere

Pull ups and divebomber push ups, all you need to get the strongest and most jacked upperbody in the world, if you crank them bitches on a regular. And a set of squats till failure every other day. I have a cousin, who got jacked like CRAZY with divebomber push ups, squata and heavy curls in a year.... It was the strangest thing. Dude never did pull ups and one christmas we asked him to do pull ups (I could do 20 so I thought I would beat him) and he did 23 and he wasnt tired. He benched double bodyweight first day in the gym, he was 84kilo of ripped. He benches 180kilo first day in the gym. His routine was he would do DB push ups for 10 sets till failure, rest just enough to catch his breath, and he would do that 2-3 times a week. Same for curls. Squat till failure every day/ every other day. Divebomber push ups are fucking crazy. They turn you in to a super soldier mate. You do them with feet no wider than shoulder width, feet backed against a wall, the highest pike you can stably manage, and then just rip at it. Best thing about them, in push ups sometimes your core gets tired before your pressing muscles, in DB push ups that will never happen.
