As an ex mechanic, I liken this performance to a big V8, fully tuned engine, being throttled way back, but raring to go! Brandon Stone was born on May 18, 1980 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 1995, he and his family moved to Germany. In 2001, Brandon graduated from the Berlin Conservatory with honors as a jazz pianist. In 2000 he signed his first contract with the German label Mabuse Records. Of course you are right that this performance of Armstrong's classic is a masterpiece. Brandon Stone is a brilliant composer, singer and keyboard player. They have worked together very closely since he wrote his first song for her. She premiered it five years ago, when she was 16. Although you have 12 (14!) reactions to Diana now, you are just tipping your toes into the ocean that is her genius. There are many strings to her bow that you still don't know and can barely imagine. I love Diana and really like a lot of her songs through all the genres she does, but this is still one of my favorite recordings by her... Brandon Stone works a lot with her and is sort of a mentor, wrote many songs for her, produced her first album. Brandon is a very successful artist, mainly in Germany (he studied at a Berlin conservatory and graduated "cum laude" as a jazz pianist) and Russia / eastern Europe / Eurasia. He's a multi instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter (hundreds of songs for dozens of artists from different countries) and producer, Diana learns a lot from him about the business... A must watch is their duet of the song "The Day You...". Brandon wrote that song for her, she originally recorded the album version as a solo artist, but for a holiday season Gala / TV appearance at the end of '23 they performed it as an incredibly powerful duet with beautiful harmonies and a crazy extended high belt from Diana like you never heard one from her before... Peace and love from Bavaria! Btw., knowing your reactions to Diana, AJ, Faouzia, Mori and more I think you urgently need to check out RAYE before she gets her first GRAMMY's soon, so you won't have to ask "where did she come from?" - Seriously, just the other day The Academy / GRAMMYs released a video of RAYE talking about the importance of her diaries / notebooks for her songwriting process, for me a clear sign she'll be nominated in one or more categories (she won six Brit Awards out of seven nominations earlier this year, and for a reason as you will soon discover if you follow my advice...) Amazing. The facets of her talent and ability are hard to number. Thanks for the best reaction I have seen to this performance by Diana Ankudinova. As for Brandon Stone, he invited her to do a song he wrote specifically for her voice. She did this one song with his small orchestra on stage at the age of 16. It was not filmed professionally, to my knowledge. But the person who recorded it had decent skill and a good sound recording. It is worth seeing even if you don't do a live reaction to it. He calls it "As Your Voice", and this version has English subs. She sang the song at concerts after that with his blessing, with recorded music. The blues that came out of the Mississippi delta/Delta Blues isn't centered around vocalists but rather musicians and is extremely unlikely that Diana would choose to cover any of it. Country & Western is a purely N American genre. There is no reason Diana would cover any of the genres I mentioned. cheers😄

Trolling persistent enough that I suspect it is orchestrated by some in the Russian music industry. (god knows we've had enough shady characters in our western music industry). Diana steadfastly insists on working independently or at least (I guess) is waiting to be offered a contract that gives her the artistic freedom she has now.
