Fantastic. Brilliant pick work on a very technical line. I think Wayne Braithwaite recorded on this so he may have slapped but that’s a next level cover. Nice one. Love the drum pattern on this tune also.

I don’t think he slapped as we would normally think of it It’s really hard to tell, especially because there are so many percussive ghost notes which are not sounding out, so I think it’s either pick or that technique Bernard Edwards did on Everybody Dance, where he used his thumb and forefinger as a pick, which would free his thumb up to thump if he wanted. I can’t do that technique anyway, so pick it is for my effort at it. 😂 But even with the bass track isolated it’s hard to tell for sure.
