I have an m3 that has no rear speakers and just a lot of connectors and wires so this video helped me to solve some of the connectors but i still need to work on lots of cut wires

Glad it could be of use and could help you out! Having to fix a bunch of cut wires is not fun though, especially if you didn't do it and are trying to fix other peoples work...

Thats how i bought it and it had a broken radio with missing antenna wire and more cut wires behind the radio

@@mrtordse9042 Sounds like a bit of a project. Had my hands on many botched DIY car electronic jobs. Best of luck, run new wires if needed, but hopefully thats minimal.

The rear antenna on the drivers side is to give entry for your key

Good to know, don't even have windows anymore, so the locks are kinda useless now.

How do you managed to keep the sound system working after the CD changer is removed? The optical fiber system is serial, if one component is detached, it won't work.
@WannabeRacer2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response! I may be miss remembering, but I don't recall disconnecting any optical cables during the removal, but I had already gotten rid of the radio from the vehicle as its only meant to be raced on the track. I didn't have any plans of having the sound system work after, so I didn't try.

if I just plan on just replacing the amp, must the cd, nav brackets be removed or is there a way to remove the amp without diassembling all of the rest? thx for your time!
@WannabeRacer7 ай бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, it's not possible to get it out without removing or at least loosening the bracket. I could be mistaken as it's been a while since I did it. Good luck!

Does anyone know how much wattage the factory amplifier can provide?

I'm unfortunately not entirely sure on that one

Just out of curiosity, how much weight have you removed from the car so far?
@WannabeRacer3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I didn't have the forthoght to keep a very good list of that so I don't know off the top of my head. I'll do a weigh in at the track next month and get a total number then. Plus I have to weigh things the same way you do and it's not exactly the most accurate.
@michaelblacktree3 жыл бұрын
That's understandable. I went to the track a couple days ago, and the weight was within a pound of my estimate. That was a pleasant surprise!

@@michaelblacktree Awesome man! How did it handle out there? Is it driving better?
@michaelblacktree3 жыл бұрын
The suspension is still trash. So for now, I can only race in a straight line. But 1/4 mile performance improved noticeably. I'm editing the video right now. 😉

Hi! What about useless AMP , Navi and CD changer wires? Why you do not remove it?
@WannabeRacer Жыл бұрын
Because they are all part of the main harness. I know some people have their harness thinned, but I plan to be able to rebuild it, so my plan is to get a new harness and thin that.

Can you bring all the wires to the front to connect normal radio as e46 model who didn't have all that shit in the back?
@WannabeRacer Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't have the answer. I do know the rear light wires are mixed into the bunch, but past that, I don't know much about how it's all wired.

I have not done much in the area of adding things like that into the car so I'm not sure on the options available.
