The roll rate, and how quickly it STOPS rolling. Wow. Awesome flying. A pleasure to watch.

The only thing these wings have in common with the original Pitts wings is the distance between the spars. The trailing edge of the lower wing sweeps forward, as the root chord has been stretched several inches on both top and bottom wings, making the top a double taper. The ailerons are than 200% larger and tapered. Wing area outside the I strut is less than half of the original, but overall wing area is twelve feet greater. And they fly fantastically!

Hello Mr. Stewart, I just want to say that you have sparked an interest in aerobatics for me. I have always loved aviation ever since I was a young child, but you opened a huge door in my life. I am now considering aerobatics when I get older and I hope to compete in aerobatic competitions. My home base is KTMB and I wonder if you have ever been there? Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for your huge impact you have made, you inspired me to pursue a different path in aviation. Thank you!

Skip, I just want you to know that it is videos like this that keep me dreaming. I am a young aviator (23) and have dreams of one day flying airshows. I have a few youtube videos of my first flights in a Pitts and am trying to find an aerobatic school that would allow me to continue learning, if you have any suggestions I would truly appreciate it. You are an inspiration, thank you!

There was a pitot static leak inside the wing. I repaired it once I took the wings off. So the altimeter and airspeed were not reading correctly. I do look at it once or twice during my show at critical spots. The flashing red light was a low voltage warning due to a sheared coupling on the alternator. I fixed that too :)

Fantastic flying! I was glad when you landed, I have height issues and even this video made me feel queasy. A barf bag wouldn't have been enough for me if I had been on board. lol

thanks for taking the time to write a reply skip, thats a very rare occurance! are you going to release the specs of these wings eventually or are they only for you? with the shorter strut to wing tip distance do you notice the plane to be more agile?

i am curious as to why you updated the wing design? i noticed you have gone from a straight cut tip to a rounded tip more like the original pitts design, any particular reason for this? top work mate, unbelievable flying!!! do you do lessons at all?
