Hey, can you make a video on feeling your chest during push ups? Is it the same principle as this?

Yeah the first one rep is the hardest 🥹 from my experience I did regular dead hang just for few weeks and suddenly I could do like 4 reps from zero

Work on your grip, and your dead hang as well as slow negatives.

I’ve never seen anyone look like this when performing this move. It’s always a 2 or more part process. I.e., 1. Hang there 2. Move around quite a bit, then the rest of the body is literally being pulled (sometimes jerkily) by the arms. There’s obviously some core work happening, but most of the work appears to happen in the arms & maybe the shoulders. I’m seeing you do this in one fluid movement which is amazing! I’ve never been able to do this move at all, & as a kid it was part of a PE challenge every year. I hated it. Even years later, with all of the training, (I’ve been a fitness instructor for most of my life- certified in several disciplines.) Anyway, I finally decided my physique must be anatomically incorrect- like my lower half must just be so out of proportion compared to my upper body- weight-wise. Plus, I’ve always felt like somewhere deep within me, past my core, there has always been something stifling me from building past a certain strength level. Anyway, the difference in how I usually see a pull up performed & what you did here is like night & day! & I’ve seen lots!! I know it takes mega strength, but i think it’s also about learning what muscles should be engaging & doing it correctly. I’ve always been into strength/ flexibility & I love seeing how you guys incorporate them with movement that the body is made to perform. I feel like you guys are just doing it right. Thanks for this!

Doing pull up made my right forearm uncomfortable like a little sharp then when I stopped, after workout. Back to normal. My shoulder is not butter and could lead to stress in my forearm though

Could try again but build up more slowly, ie do negatives/ pullup machine. You also might have muscle imbalance so pullup machine could help indicate that via one arm pullups.

Pain in forearm means you're using forearms too much, this is incorrect technique. You're not engaging your lats correctly, do some research on "how to engage lats in pullups"

@berhanesenay222 yeah vitor makes good point. It reminded me I actually had exact same thing but in my right elbow, and SCAPULAR EXERCISES fixed it completely within a couple of sessions...You're welcome! I do no 3 religiously now before my pullups, every time. kzbin.infobK6zSXzVaF4?si=JFL3wRE8km9cXaa3

What’s a ‘back squeeze’? Tell us what you’re doing. Is it just pulling your shoulder blades together or what is it? What muscles are you using????
