I could not breathe so I was rushed to a teaching hospital by ambulance. I had a battle with clots. A pulmonary embolism put me in cardiac arrest. I died. They were able to continue working on me for two and a half hours. I'm alive now because they did that. They actually got me back. They said it was a miracle. I am so thankful to the residents, nurses and doctors that saved me at St Joseph's. 🙏

On the road to recovery now but still pretty rattled from the suddenness of the experience.

Thats what happened to me, doctors initially thought I have stones or something, my cousin is a owmer of medical testing facility. So he had my whole body examed. Results were promising, kidneys, pamcreas, liver, heart were all more than fine, they were perfect (even though Im an alcoholic!) But things took a turn when I had my first ct scan. I had complete blockage in the pulmonary arteries of my left lung. Rushed to the doctor, he told me that if I was a few days late, i would have been dead. The moral of the story is, this happened to me because my father had it and he died because of it. Doctor told me that if one of the parent has this its a 90% chance that the child will be affected.
