1995, i was 15, heavily into the 'grunge' scene. My gfs Dad introduced me to the British scene with Blurs 'The Great Escape' and Pulps 'Different Class', which became an instant favourite and remains so to this day. Completely changed the way i listen to, write and play music. Terry, if you're out there, THANK YOU.

The old joke goes 'Q: Who do you prefer, Blur or Oasis? A: Pulp'. And its sorta still funny, and sorta still true. Blur and Oasis got all the prominance, but Pulp, Suede, Manic Street Preachers and a few others were why I loved popular indiesque music Britain was pushing out at the time. I wont call it Britpop though because that makes me think of Sleeper and I'd really rather not think of them ever again.
