I didn't know which Pulp song to go with, but I'm glad I decided on this one, lol. Has Jarvis ever sounded more breathy and horny? A pencil skirt can make you go pretty wild. The conflict here is obvious. It's wrong, but it feels so right to have an affair! It's an orgasmic track that is so completely Pulp.

@@DaveSCameron Nah mate. £8 to see Pulp in a decent venue, or £25 to see them and a load of bands I didn't like in a park. No brainer 😁

Hey there from Liverpool and I’ve just clocked your channel and you’re bang into the same tunes as me despite me being in my 50s, I have seen Pulp quite a few times back in the 90s and 00s and they shine in any small venue with that violin and almost orchestral sound, fantastic! Incidentally our son was aged 10 when I dragged him to his first gig at Cambridge Corn Exchange to see The Levellers and The Wonder Stuff and he is now 23 , graduated in Commercial Music and is a teacher and your interest in pretty eclectic British music reminds me of my own neglected passion for music so I’ve subbed and wish you all the best. 🎵🚬

Mis-Shapes is the track before Pencil Skirt…and no…you’d think it transitions smoothly into Pencil Skirt…nope. lol. Got this album by mistake. I had heard “Lipgloss” on the radio and literally drove to the record store that day and bought the new Pulp album sight unseen…popped onto my cd player and it was Different Class. The follow up. A masterpiece to be sure. I still love “Sorted for E’s & Whizz” best…;)

Have you heard Acrylic Afternoons yet by Pulp? Saw them for the first time at university in their hometown back in 1991. Will never forget their live performance of Countdown. Well worth checking out.

Great album, Thanks for being one of only a few to air Pulp. 'A different class' woke me up after a long hiatus in music and got me interested again. I got withdrawal symptoms though, 'cos I think that runs into the 'Common People' the brilliant long album version.

I’ve kissed your Mother twice and now I’m working on your Dad😂 I’m obsessed with PULP! I listen to them every day, I finally went to see them last May and honestly I’m still not over it, I don’t think they’ve made a bad song, I just completely love Jarvis🤷🏻‍♀️
