hei koushik, mine having pulsar 220, done 68000kms, using Motul 300v Factoryline 15w50 engine oil, NGK Iridium spark plugs, K&N Power filter, michelin pilot street radial tyres front: 110/70/17 and back: 140/70/17, riding 70km everyday at an average speed of 70kms/hr, getting a constant mileage of 40-45kms.

I appreciate your experience and thanks for video, and even in city I'm getting hardly 28 kmpl - 30kmpl (BS4 & 2 services). But many youtubers claiming 40kmpl in city. Yes only concern for me is that i can't cross 127 km/h on this 1, i don't know why.

Stock replacement doesn't make much difference whereas free flow k&n air fliter make difference (cone shaped), but with this free flow exhaust is required due high air intake because stock exhaust create back pressure due cat converter....this info will help you...

Hey Buddy, it is not really a straight fit all you got to do it for the RH side grips, make sure you remove the rubber from ktm grips and install that over the pulsar one (you have to remove the rubber from the pulsar's as you know)

Hey buddy :) I only used bajaj oil once, I have been using Motul 5100 at the moment, mine is 4.5k on the odo, however ill be changing oil in a while but this time ill use Motul 7100 or I might stick to 5100 which is lot better than bajaj and i change oil in evey 3k kms. Im pretty sure the vibration could be due to improper or the a factory tune, you may have to tune the carb, if u know a good mech he should do it. Btw my next video will be on air fuel mixture, which might help u

I would say, Yes go for it because since you are studying and i am pretty sure u do not want to spend unnecessary, Pulsar 220 is very pocket friendly and yet a strong and powerful machine, though we cannot compare to KTM, but it does the job, what you get the bike in half price of KTM 200's

It is not something easily be done on Gixxer since it doesn't have the provision to do such. However if you still like to rip off the engine and do all this stuff I think you need a wonderful mechanic in first place and then you will have to cast a custom engine cover and what not inside the engine. you would end up spending a bomb and still wont be perfect at the end. Think about it, oil cooler does cool the engine but Air cooled engines also does their job so you want to get this trouble ?

Koushik Shinde bro, Thanks much, I was not aware while i was buying, Now it was about 25Kms.., Why i were asked you on this conversion is I could feel hard heat when I ride 80-100 in highway for half an hour and so to protect engine from heat and wear or tear on engine, Oil cooler system was an add on to air cooled engine was the idea built in pulsar 220F., And so I thought I can also try in my Gixxer as it was also an 155cc engine. Fine bro..thanks much., If so possible share how much it would cost to fix oil cooler system to air cooled engine.

Since k and n being an free flow filter will it not send more air to the engine resulting in more air and less fuel mixture? So is it possible to tune carburretor to make it perfect to inject correct amount of air and fuel mixture and what is the procedure to do that? Thanks in advance!

Hi, to be very honest just the free flow airfilter doesn't make any sense or change in performance. Probably if you replace the spark plugs to iridium with a good msd or splitfire cables and also bigger jets on the carb. if all these are changed then you can expect a raise in the performance. And to tune your big after installing free flow, definitely you have adjust the air/fuel mixture on the carb, probably opening the screw half a turn would suffice. But I would suggest don't go for free flow, just enjoy the stock settings, my filter is just lying in a corner I don't use it anymore, bcoz i didn't get any good out of it. Cheers

Tharun, i am guessing you could be referring to Tappet noise on the idling or when it gets hot, but it can be fixed easily, can you post a video or an audio. Anyways I will make a video to adjust the tappets on 220 soon

Hey Manoj, yes buddy 130/70 on the rear is the perfect upsize i would say go for it.. don go above that else the tyre wud curve a lot for the rim size we have.

Sumit Kumar bro first check your settings before doing anything for that warm up the bike by driving it 20km and then put it on centre stand and start it in nutrul and chcek whether rpm are stble or not and engine sound is in rythem or not.. it should be rythem .. if all this is ok.. u are at stock and best settings and if not ok then don't do anything to it take your bike to service centre and just tell them to tune the carb with machine.. thats it . they will only charge 60.. for that otherwise u will ruin you entire ofr skrew that is very prone to brake to Don t touch unless u want to waste some money on nee carb

Stock setting is 2.5 round and you are clocking 3-4 rounds that's why your mileage is low... i set my mixture on 2.25 round so i get 42 kmpl on decent riding or on highway i got 38 and believe me i ride 110+ on an average.

Cosmetics is the major in 220 since fairing is included, see if there is too much of vibrations and check for accidents, handle bar bents, swing arm joints and all the other joints and welds.. bcoz engine u can still fix it in the service. Take for a ride and try to speed up and see the response.one more thing, headlight assembly check for any damage. Thats should do

First thing I would check is the carb, clean it and get it tuned. Mine is a 3 and a half turns open from the dead stop and then see if that resolves. 90% of the times carburetor is the culprit.

Sunny, let ur engine settle properly may be once u reach 5k u can try this but there is no much difference seen towards performance however a better breathing for sure. Yes there will be noticeable difference if u change the plugs to ngk along with the plug cable
