This is a great thermal optic, one of best on market, however I will say the N-Vision Halo XRF significantly outperforms this. I do really like the features of the Pulsar and they are indeed getting quite good!

Needs a firmware update to retain zoom level and LRF Scan function when unit is powered off. Getting back to where the user left off is a pain in the proverbial. Other than that, it's not too bad.

Can the Range Finder be switched on rather than on / off. ?
@TheNightVisionShow Жыл бұрын
Hi, the LRF only functions if you turn it on or if you press and hold it will activate scan mode.

Hi Good review as always !!! I disagree a bit with the rangefinder on the scope, I find it better on the spotter, I have owned the trail with the LRF and although it is good when you are static when walking around I much prefer to have the rangefinder on the spotter as it is easier to leave the gun over the shoulder on a sling than to keep lifting the gun up and down rangefinding At the end of the day if we could afford every item for every task this would be best but this is out of reach for most people Also although they have done the LRF on the Thermion and I suppose they have had to put it somewhere it has definitely taken the look of a traditional scope away

I also have a handheld with a lrf. I prefer it this way, but whatever works for you. Pew pew pew!

After zeroing, will the crosshairs adjust to the centre of the screen or will there be an offset.?

Where did you get the Pulsar USB powered target from? I couldn’t find one anywhere.

Direct from Pulsar I’m afraid - we’ve not been able to find them either yet…

So do you have to hold down the button to scan distance or does it have an auto scan feature?
@chriscato15312 жыл бұрын
Hi I think it will work the same as the trail , a quick press of the button gives you the range and then shuts off or if you press and hold the button down then the rangefinder stays on and you can scan with it on but it did drain the battery quicker when you did this Hope this helps
@TheNightVisionShow2 жыл бұрын
Yep that’s pretty much it. It just needs a longer hold of the button to set to scan so you don’t need to hold it down all the time.

The missing piece of puzzle is brand new Pulsar Thermion 2 XQ50 Pro LRF.

DM I have the RXQ30. It’s the low end Pulsar. But it suit my needs for hog hunting. There’s a lot great thermals out there, but they come with a price. Hope you like it. Let me know how it does. Thanks

Thermals are very over priced, but if people like me keeps buying them, they will stay over priced. Stupid I know.
@markbernard10322 жыл бұрын
Still over priced.
@ClickKlack432 жыл бұрын
That’s actually the opposite of how innovation and the market work. Early adaptors bring eventual prices down. You’re doing everyone a service, actually. Don’t feel bad about it.

How do they warrant the price you can buy a decent car for that money who buys them 😲 😱

There are 14 members if the hunting team I hunt with here in Sweden. I think five of them have top of the line Pulsar thermals. And two more are considering buying them. Exclusively for shooting wild boar. Most of them have thermal spotters monoculars too.

I'm with you. The quality is nice but the price isn't. I have a 2 little ATN 4Ks and that hurt to buy. My father owns a AGM Rattler and I thought he was crazy. If you want to see ridiculous look up the new IRAY. That's a new car or down payment on a house.
