At this beach, a PI detector is needed in the wet sand since everything is deep…

That looks like an excellent scoop and you were getting those small coins at a very respectable depth. I've just invested in a PI machine so will be hitting the beach once I get a handle on how it works properly. GL&HH

That's a good idea putting your foot inside the scoop. I've been leaning it against myself or digging it in.

Fantastic video, amazing depth of a PI machine. I often wonder how it might do in the coal slack fields.

I live in the North East too...my hat's off to you for braving the frigid temperatures. Congrats on your silvers! Great hunt. .Can't we just get one warm day? Lol

Great depth,You where having to work hard at that depths filling in very fast. Will you be getting hold of the new minelab gpz7000 looks like this will be a great beach tool. knackering hunt some weight in the scoop. you must of been hitting 18 inch + . Nice one Dave

i hereby declare upon its inception the minelab gpz7000 to render all other detectors obsolete
@DetectorComparisons9 жыл бұрын
The GPZ7000 sounds like it will be a great machine. It will be interesting to see how much deeper it will go than the TDI Pro in wet salt water sand. I believe the GPZ will not be released until spring but I'll be sure to test one out when they are available.

Hello. That would have advantages in the beach the tdi opposite to an etrac or a ctx. I have been looking at his videoes and he looks like to me an interesting equipment. Regards
@DetectorComparisons8 жыл бұрын
+Luis Velazquez For general hunting in wet sand, the CTX or E-Trac will do well. The TDI Pro is for areas where targets are very deep.

The Million Dollar Question.......Will The TDI SL perform Like The TDI Pro, on Your type of Hunting here ??
@DetectorComparisons9 жыл бұрын
The TDI Pro is a deeper seeking detector than the TDI/SL.
@markg68369 жыл бұрын
DetectorComparisons I've always wondered if the TDI Pro would perform well at some of my old school sites. These sites have been hammered with over 15 different machines and never found anything deeper than 3". What makes them so hard to hunt is the coal cinder waste that has been spread out over the property for over 50 years.
@jasonelwood47389 жыл бұрын
Mark Gillespie Yes. The GEB of the tdi pro can be tailored to specifically eliminate the coal cinder waste (GEB circuit will superimpose a signal to cancel the coal waste). In addition, the pulse delay can give you true elimination of the cinder waste (meaning the cinder waste is never detected in the first place).

I keep reading the Tdi, and Tdi Pro get the same depth just the pro is more stable. The Tdi Sl gives up about 3 inches in depth to the standard Tdi, and Tdi Pro.

Thanks for the vid. You sounded cold and knackered! Any idea why the coins were from around the same vintage? Do a lot of your coins corrode in the salt water? I'm in Perth Western Australia, we are relatively young compared with many countries however we seem to be able to pull out 100 year old coins in fairly good condition. One of my machines is an old white's PI which seems to serve me well still. I'm still confused as to the dates on those coins? Weired! Cheers Chris.
@DetectorComparisons9 жыл бұрын
Chris Barrett Most of the newer coins are found quickly with other detectors. Most of what I find here are older coins caught in the rocks that are 12" - 18" below the sand. The salt water is destructive.

i think black knight pro pi deeper than tdi sl and dual field but tdi pro deeper than all these
@markg68368 жыл бұрын
In your honest opinion is the T-rex digger as good as the stealth?
@DetectorComparisons8 жыл бұрын
Depends on the type of hunting you're doing. When I'm in rocky areas with lots of clam shells, I like the Stealth with the sharp point and the 90 degree angle. When I'm in cleaner sand, I like the T-Rex. Raptor handles are a big help on both.
@lv60658 жыл бұрын
Hello. that the difference between TDI sl and TDI sl pro.? Thank you
@DetectorComparisons8 жыл бұрын
+Luis Velazquez TDI Pro is deeper. I have tested both side by side and the TDI Pro will hear targets at 16"+ with no problem and the SL will not respond.
@lv60658 жыл бұрын
+DetectorComhparisons Thank you for your response speed. regards

I am debating between the TDI PRO vs. the TDI SL for salt beach hunting,,is their a real depth difference between the two units. My brother suggests i get a white's dual field but it looks like the TDI will be better ...your opinion please,,,thanks
@DetectorComparisons9 жыл бұрын
TDI/SL and Whites Dual Field are close in depth but the Dual Field is waterproof. The TDI Pro is deeper than both the SL and Dual Field but it also is not waterproof.
