I LOVED watching swsh speedruns once the dlc came out - the rng of what Pokémon you’d get in the raid dens and how people would adapt accordingly made each run feel different and more fun to watch - plus having a strong Pokémon made the way things were done so much different from other Pokémon speedruns, such as move choice being optimized for speed in many cases over power, as with thrash as mentioned in this video.

You don't have to get fly to go to the isle of armor or the crown tundra, you can just take the train back as soon as you see a glimpse of the wild area and initiate the slowpoke fight and travel to the dlc areas

I pretty much did the speedrun with Suicune to get the other Regi with a 2nd playthrough on a different account. Didn't realize you can lose to Peony so I traded in mons from my main game and brute forced the fight while dealing with disobedience 💀💀💀

I am not agains dlc, since they always made a third game after the first 2 that you needed to buy to get the remening stuff. So when you play the version with the dlc is like playing the emerald/platinum version of the base game. Of course it changes how the game is played

To this day, i still don’t know why, but if you don’t have enough badges to have pokemon under level 70 obey you, the pokemon form the raid den will still obey you including the legendaries

The only Pokemon who disobey you if your level isn't high enough are traded Pokemon. If you're the original trainer, they will obey you regardless of level.

Those level catching limitations are stupid. Its a new hunting license version added ON TOP of routes being blocked for reasons than storyline events or not defeating teams/villains. There's one thing similar..Fantina being a 5th Gym Leader despite the fact that her city is the 3rd major city you pass through (in Diamond/Pearl)
