Quality content and thank you from the bottom of my heart for Pulse staff for making these issues known. If Sri Lanka to join the modern world, SL should not follow the US Republicans but rather the SL should follow the Western European democracies specially related to social issues.

I’m thankful to this programme for many things. First of all, for the English captions, secondly, they spoke in English to start with, thirdly, she started speaking in Sinhalese. She’s from Galle. I praise this young woman for her courage. It is not her fault. In Asian culture, many parents wants to have a son. We all were lead to believe that it’s something to be proud of to have a baby boy and consider unfortunate to have a baby girl. This misconception affected many young children who are born having more genes of the opposite gender than a normal child. They grow up feeling uneasy and they feel ashamed as they were made to feel by the others. This young woman is a credit to those children who suffer alone. It cannot be easy to keep this secret from the outsiders because the child has a natural attraction to girlish things and behave like a girl. May You succeed in your venture. Help other children and their parents to nip it in the bud, so to speak. Don’t try to hide the fact that your son is in fact a daughter or your daughter is in fact a son. People need to be educated. It’s the nature’s way. Don’t feel bad. Make as many friends as you can.

Actually there are some teachers who used to mock, depress children. School is a place where children come and learn new things and in a place like that, what if a teacher acts so disappointedly! Shame right! However I really like the person “Bhoomi” 🙌🏻

One of my schoolmate who had the same characteristics like these 2 amazing people, took his own life about a month ago. Other students bullied him just because he is different from them. I'm very sad about the incident but also happy seeing that there's people like them who overcame these challenges...

Being a man or a woman is biological, and a man having traits which the society typically considers to be 'feminine', or a woman having 'masculine' traits does not make them less of a man or a woman, but simply just different to the expectations of the society. People can have different personalities, and as long as it does not cause harm to anyone, the society should be taught to accept them rather than them having to change themselves (physical appearance or behaviour). People should be made to feel comfortable in their own bodies without them having to transition to a different appearance that comforts the society. As Dinu mentioned, transitioning has not made Dinu more at ease than Dinu already was, simply it had just made the society more comfortable with how Dinu appears & behaves to be.

Thank you girls. Personally feel, people are not aware of the differences hence will discriminate. Forgive them and heal yourselves because humans are not evolved enough. I know it's very hard and feels to the core. Really do admire what you guys are doing because you are helping many many silent people who are suffering silently and many to be born in the future as well. Teachers should be taught in teaching schools to understand & to be sensitive. I believe school syllabus should start talking about many matters so we produce good humans to society. I don't know when these will happen but we need to start somewhere and you two are so brave to have started on this. Weldone and God bless you. We are all equal.

භූමි, tell me about that....I had just finished my O/Ls and this teacher who I had so much respect, told me that I was like a girl...Well, I didnt do or say anything and I did forgive him. Most of our teachers and adults are not educated in this area, so we we have to educate the society especially the young generation, so the future of LGBTQI community will be a good one. This is a very good start 😘😘

Yet countries like ours have that conventional idea that girls must behave like girls and boys must behave as boys . BUT if a person is burdening just because of his/her feelings that if he/she deserves to have the opposite gender qualities if it's a burning and unending desire , just like others they are also doing fulfilling their desires . That's a feeling coming from their bottom of heart. that's why they tend/want to be transgender. those people are also humans , and the other people , they are also humans. so what can we conclude ? both parts are similar . like Bhoomi , like Dinushi , I respect you because you do according to you . ❤️ They have strong desires. They are true lovers of themselves.
