pulsating is actually very important to limit inhibition by the mitochondria, but also because there is another process that only happens when the light stimulus is off and the mitochondria is no longer getting that energy source. I read a study on this, but I can't remember where.
@SAOSIN9878 ай бұрын
I remember now, it was a study on rats tissue repair, they tested with pulsating and different rates and continuous exposure. The pulsating healed a lot faster, the lower the pulse the better. They tested 100hz 10hz 1hz. Feel free to search the internet with that info.

Biophotas has been around for about 12 years. I have been using and talking about the advantages of pulsing since buying the Celluma in 2016.
@jhowell7680 Жыл бұрын
How has the Celluma worked fir you? How long and how many days do you use ?
@loriwysocki4203 Жыл бұрын
@@jhowell7680 The Celluma has been my most used light therapy device. It’s great for targeted treatments and for anti-aging. It’s not as powerful as the panels, which is actually better, so sessions are 30 minutes. The amount of days depends on what you’re using it for. Pain and overall health use it everyday, up to twice a day as long as you wait 6-8hrs in between sessions. For anti-aging and wound healing I recommend 3 -4 times a week leaving a day between treatments. I hope this helps?! 😊

Hey Lori! Oh thank you for the clarification here. I should have clarified that I was focusing more on the panels.Curious - what pulsing rates do you use/recommend? Is it the frequencies around the brain states, or have you found use in other frequencies?
@loriwysocki4203 Жыл бұрын
@@LightTherapyInsiders Hi Alex! So the Celluma uses a pulsing algorithm that is proprietary, the wavelengths and frequencies are set. It uses a combination of blue, red and near-infrared depending on the setting which are acne, wrinkles/wounds and pain. It’s a very simple and effective device. The frequency I use most with my other equipment is 146Hz as it’s considered the universal frequency. The following frequencies are what I was taught to use, however, other practitioners may use different frequencies. Main Therapeutic Frequencies Frequency A | 292Hz Ectodermal tissue - skin, glands, nerves, eyes, ears, teeth, brain and spinal cord. Frequency A is a universal frequency that can be tried to any condition. Frequency B | 584 Hz Endoderm tissue -intestinal tract, lungs, bladder, urethra, and the auditory tube. Used for circulatory problems, edema, and lymph problems, neuropathy. Frequency C | 1,168Hz Mesoderm tissue - ligaments, tendons, cartilage, muscle, bone, heart, blood and lymph vessels, kidneys, ovaries, testes, spleen. Used for muscle, skeletal and myofascial pain. Frequency D | 2,336 Hz Chronic conditions, helps to balance the two sides of the brain. Used for disorders of laterality, circulation, lymphatics. Frequency E | 4,672Hz Spinal and skin disorders and for pain control. Reduces excess calcification such as bone spurs and arthritic joints. Frequency F | 73 Hz - Endocrine System, hormones, muscle spasms, headaches, depression non-healing bone fractures. Frequency G | 146Hz - Brain, memory, psychological disorders, inflammation and scar tissue, edema and improves gums. Frequency G is a universal frequency that can be tried for any condition.

Good review Alex. You might want to have Scott Kennedy back on for an interview, and look at the new Lightpath XL line. I have the big one and it is a nice panel. Also, I have had Vielight products over the years and find them very cumbersome and uncomfortable. I recently got an interesting helmet called the Neuradiant that actually uses 1070 nm pulsed light, and I like it way better than the Vielight. Much more comfortable and has a neat touch screen interface that allows you to select the programs. Also, they have a higher purchase tier that comes with consultation which addresses your concern of not knowing where to start with pulsed therapy.
@LightTherapyInsiders Жыл бұрын
Hey yes that is the plan for this year. Once I have a play with his new panel I'll be sure to tee up a call. I have the Neuradiant 1070 at the moment! I"m doing a call with Marvin (their CEO) this month (that will be out next month) and yes I agree it's easier to use than the Vielight. I just wish it was battery powered and maybe used a phone app instead of the control panel (that would also bring down the cost a lot). How are you finding the device? If you have any questions for Marvin let me know :)

Hey thanks for the support. I am working on a video/blog that will cover dosing protocols in a lot more detail. In the mean time this may help - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmfUnKSarqmAfrM It's hard to give exact recommendations as there are so many variables (panel wavelengths, power output, distance from body etc). But typically 5-10mins on an area (assuming a distance of around 6 inches) 4-6x a week works well :)

Thanks for this review. And I was excited to see you had a written review of the Vielight brain treatment device. It would be great if those of us trying such devices had a simple cognitive test to track any changes. May I ask whether the pulsing is visible when wearing Vielight devices? I have dizziness and nausea when I encounter flickering lights and my doctor said he thinks I may have a mild seizure disorder. Maybe I could avoid the problem by wearing light protection goggles though. Thanks for your work!

My Vielight review - www.alexfergus.com/blog/vielight-review-does-red-light-on-the-brain-up-the-nose-improves-cognitive-function - is a little old. I have learnt a lot more about brain health and RLT since then, so there will be more content coming out. I don't believe the pulsing is noticable with the Vielight. It's not noticeable with the Neuraradiant 1070 that I'm reviewing (that will be out soon) as it's only NIR light that is pulsed. But if pulsing is triggering discomfort - I would stay away from any pulsed light in visible (red) wavelengths.
@davemTX20235 ай бұрын
When the vielight is on your head, you cannot see the pulsating light unless you sit in a dark room in front of a mirror. Otherwise you wouldn't know its pulsing.

@@davemTX2023 Also, I’m less concerned than when I posted that question a year ago, because I started using a flashing device for dementia and have been able to adjust to it. It is called the Beacon40, which flashes light at 40 Hz, which I believe is one of the flashing rates used in the Vielight device. The Beacon40 is based on research at MIT and other universities, which also used a sound component. There’s a spin-off company doing clinical testing of a device based on that research, but unfortunately it’s not available outside the study. Even though the Beacon40 lacks the pulsing sound, it does seem to help with my mild cognitive impairment. At first I felt nauseated and had to decrease the light intensity and time period, but now I can use it for an hour at top intensity. It costs only $274, so I’m using it until I can afford the Vielight Duo.
