I love how the thumbnail of this video is almost an identical recreation to the cover art of his debut EP Swum Baby. It’s kind of like an homage to that EP, and to the photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki, who took the photos that Puma Blue would later use for the EP Edit: just noticed that in the video they have the umbrella next to them, just like in the pictures Kohei Yoshiyuki took! Also, is the girl dancing with the dog head a reference to the Only Trying 2 Tell U Music Video? Absolutely Love the music!!❤❤❤

I just went through a breakup a week ago, about as amicably as it could happen. She discovered something about herself, and it immediately severed the relationship, of no fault of either of us-it was so clean, almost surgical. Ever since then, Puma Blue’s songs have adopted a unique quality for me. There’s no blame on her, no blame on me, and yet there’s still this vague, esoteric sadness that seems to plague me in my heart and in my stomach. I’ve found that only his music seems to resonate at the same frequency as my heartache. Even then, I felt that no song of his truely spoke to my specific situation. The breakup came out of nowhere, and what I found most disheartening was the subtle shattering of the past, present, and future, knowing that nothing we did in the past would ever happen again, and nothing we planned in the future would ever come to fruition. I always thought we would be tapestry, together entwined. Now this dream, it has died. I wasn’t able to sleep the night we broke up, because I feared of waking up with her not in my life. You’re supposed to wake *out* of nightmares, not *into* them. I can’t look at snow now without thinking of her face that day-I was there the first time she saw it fall. Thank you, Puma Blue. You released the song that resonates at the exact frequency of my broken heart, at exactly the right time. I feel like I can heal now, the weight has finally stopped plummeting.

i feel you as i was going through a breakup one year ago, and felt the same way about everything. it was a day when first snow fell, so i had to go through snowy and unwelcoming winter heartbroken and devastated. time will heal and puma's music will be a beautiful melancholic partner in the process of grief. wishing you strength and to find a love within yourself.
