DN2 is my favourite daily of all time. Really hope they haven’t tried to reinvent the wheel and just made some upgrades.

same. very sad to see the high drop. I really prefer something in the 6-8mm range for drop.

Just got these in the mail today from a buddy that works at Puma! I needed a new tempo/ other daily to complement the Mach 5 and Endorphin Speed 3 and of course my vaporfly 3’s

Weight and increased drop suggest there are better options not least a deviate Nitro elite 2 as a training option or the DN2 AND £45 extra for DNE3 is a narrow gap….

Since the rebellion V4 actually fits me well , and you two are having some issues with this new Puma model, I won't go near 😄.. my bunion thanks you.

This is a shame to hear, I love my DN2s. At least I can get a pair of DN2s for a bargain and hope the 4s are better when they arrive.

Puma seems to have narrowed their shoes both in the velocity 3 and now this.

Hello, great video. I had a question: I'm looking for a pair of running shoes for training (VMA, THRESHOLD) and paces below 4:00 and capable of running 200m. I was looking for the BOSTON 12, and I had TEMPO before, I was wondering which pair of running shoes would be perfect for my use knowing that I have a pair for competition and jogging. thank you very much for everything 😊

Previous versions I've found in the midfoot way too tight for my foot.
@andrewphillips36997 ай бұрын
I’ve loved the puma range over the years but their sizing really frustrates me. I’m a uk size 8 but depending on the model the variation in fit is so different for me. I appreciate there will be differences depending on the intended use, but for the most part I’d expect an element of consistency.

@Nick Another great and honest review. Good to know about the discomfort. How is this discomfort compared with the Nitro Elite 3? Do you find the Elite 3 version also uncomfortable? Cheers!
@Mort-c5j7 ай бұрын
It goes on sale in 20 minutes here. I thought I'd buy it. I still might because Puma No Amer have an excellent/easy return policy. Deviate Nitro 2 had been my favorite (past time to replace). I thought Nick liked them, so not liking this as much makes me leery. I think I'll try the Mizuno Neo Vista first or try to find DN 2s on sale since I've really liked those.
@videoforum40477 ай бұрын
Will buy the version 2 just cause of the drop. 10mm is too much. Deviate 2 is actually 6mm
@sachakopa79647 ай бұрын
Yeah. I normally prefer 4-6mm. On the rarer occasion shoes with 8mm work for me but 10 is to much for me.

At least visually, the stack stats seem wrong to me. If anything the 3 looks to have higher stack in the forefoot than the 2, not less as stated here (29 to 30). Also it would make no sense for them to be heavier than the DN2 if they didn't have more foam everywhere (not a bit more on the heel and a bit less on the forefoot), given they also have less outsole coverage than the DN2 as well.
@LukaMagic-hg3dk7 ай бұрын
Is this shoe still heavy due to its insole and outsole? how about the heel collar and the padding, is still rigid? I felt this shoe is for strides not for cadence.
@Mr80Miles7 ай бұрын
Shame they’ve changed it to a 10mm drop. Too much for me, so definitely won’t be buying them. Plenty of life left in my DN2 though.

Agree... makes me think I should pick up another DN2 pretty soon though, for the future!

I love the look of the Puma Deviate Nitro shoe and the feel of the mid sole. I just find it such a narrow show... I can't really size up because then the shoe is just to long.

how can one reviewer say half to a full size up and fine for the other 2?
@wordsovsean89057 ай бұрын
One person's idea of a good fit is not necessarily the same as someone else's. Foot width, how the toe box tapers, foot volume, lots of different factors can affect how a shoe fits. I've had shoes that have a full thumb width space at the end and they still feel small because of the way the toe box tapers. Some people like a full thumb width at the end, some think less than that is fine. Reviews are just opinions. Whenever I order shoes online now, I order 2 sizes every time so I can compare.

I wouldn't race further than 10k in the Boston, I don't find them that comfortable and it always feels like too much shoe. Not sure about the DN3 as there are mixed reviews, Ed Bud loves them.

My personal preference, I'd wish all brands of shoes just stop putting power tape, logo's, reinforcements on the little toe-midfoot area. As soon as I see that on a shoe, I'm just like...NO.
