I'm absolutely in love with my Deviate Nitro 2, I own two of them now! It's a SUPER plush comfy daily trainer with an awesome energy return and doesn't feel giant and heavy-duty like my Nike Invincible Run. The Nike is a better walking shoe imo.

I actually use the Deviate Nitro 2 for about everything, from easy to tempo. Love that shoe and hascall the cushioning I need. I might pick up a pair of the Magnify Nitro 2, but since it is heavier, not sure yet.

i've done 3 runs so far total 50km and a bit disappointed. it feels like i'm sinking into the foam without bouncing back. was yours good out of the box? it could be because i wore them on days after hard workouts. also the upper though breathable, feels warm.
@runfrankfurt Жыл бұрын
@@gudboyngdisyerto Mine were great out of the box. I am a forefoot runner though and hardly use the regular nitro foam in the back. I basically just run on the nitro elite foam under the forefoot and that has a nice ride. Yes, the back part is not that responsive, not sure how you run, but for a heel striker this might be a different experience.
@gudboyngdisyerto Жыл бұрын
@@runfrankfurt i'm also a forefoot to midfoot striker. maybe i got so used to adidas and saucony's foams and need more mileage to enjoy them. i also have the superblast,my first asics shoes, and stil trying to find what people are so hyped about. i need to try them both on fresh legs and not the day after a workout

I was disappointed by both, but if I had to choose I would go with the Magnify Nitro 2. The Foreverrun is rigid and slappy. I also absolutely hated the upper as I had heel slip and lace pressure. The Magnify 2 has a much better upper, but the midsole let's it down. There is a ton of foam obviously, but it almost feels like it bottoms out quickly. It's like there's a bit of sink in, but it quickly reaches its limits and not in a smooth way. I find them a little jolting actually. I prefer the original Magnify. I like both the upper and the midsole better. I think they are slightly more responsive and smoother.
@jamisons2504 Жыл бұрын
@wordsovsean8905 thank you. I have the original Magnify, and it worked well enough when I first purchased it, but after a long while off from running, it seems more block like a tiny bitvto firm now. I love the deviate nitro 2, but as a heavy runner, I don't think I'd wear them past 7 miles. I need a little more cushion underfoot or a teeny bit firmer, so with a softer magnify 2, I was hoping it would fit the bill. I like ForeverRun, but it's not quite right. I think my feet prefer 29 mm+ in forefoot and a 6-8 drop but can handle a 10 drop with a good rocker. I'm looking at Magnify 2, Asics Nimbus 25, NB SC trainer 2.

That V shape in the toebox makes me feel its for people with 2 toes, one long one and one very short toe. Getting tired of shoe companies not making good room for 5 human toes spread out as per proper human anatomy. Have the Triumph 20 and finding the 10mm a bit too much coming from the More V3 and 4mm.

I'm in a similar boat. Mag2 should be an appealing one for me, but a 4E, wide toebox, or preferably both would be needed. 'More V3' is my lane as well.

It's all a bit silly, really. Puma is supposedly originally an Inca word. Pronounce it however the locals recognize. I'll never forget a German exchange student at my H.S. getting mocked mercilessly for audaciously pronouncing 'Adidas' the way the founders intended. Violated proper 'merikan.

I think it's more a problem of the brands insisting that you recite a long string of branding names, in the proper order, every time. A reviewer shouldn't need to go further than 'Puma Magnify 2' to identify the subject. But then the brand will be all irritated that their big "Nitro" differentiator wasn't hammered into consumer minds nearly hard enough. I'd be exasperated by some of the longer-string names. Those marketing requirements triumph over practicality.
