When can we expect a performance review of the Puma TRC blaze basketball shoe?
@thesun59242 жыл бұрын
@@unofreaz because low tops not the causes of ankle injuries 🤷♂️ all the researches have proven that. It’s the fit and support that prevent you from rolling your ankles and some cushioning can safe your knees just a little bit. High tops, in the other hand, proved to weaken your ankles. And tbh the main reason basketball shoes started using high tops was because it was the trend of fashion back then in the 1890s-1900s when boots were very popular. Ankle injuries are mostly caused by accidents or ankle weakness or even genetics. See big names like Steph who has the worst ankles, when was the last time he wore high tops? And back then when he did wear high tops, he had the worst injury of his career. Look at AD when he was with the Pelicans wearing “big man” high tops shoes… got injured all the time 🤷♂️ and people be complaining about him wearing Kobes in LA. It’s not the shoes!! It’s him!! All the ball shoes now are low tops because the shoe companies do tons of researches. And it shows that high tops don’t really prevent you from injuries. More and more people are into low tops as it’s more comfortable. And when it’s comfortable, it’s fit, it’s supportive enough, people are more confident wearing it.

The problem with Puma Basketball os that they do not release all of their shoes and the better colorways. They have great shoes but the availability seems to be non existent (flashback with the Clyde hardwood, MB01, RS Dreamers etc)

I agree with you that it's great that there is too much competition having a lot of brands who give us really good quality sneakers in terms of materials. But still, Jordan brand don't give a fuck, coz they're pretty much confident their products will sell. Having cheap materials and crap quality, as long as it has the branding, it will sell. Shame on them.
@Crnicelad2 жыл бұрын
Well maybe we should all stop buying crap product and vote with our money? I have been skipping Jordan releases no problem recently. Only buying OG models & OG inspired colorways, Puma on the other hand is amazing - All-pro's, MB01's and now this. The only Jordan release I am really looking forward to are the Luka 1's - gotta represent my fellow countryman, and initial reviews have been great so I am really happy about that + 110€/$ price point seems fair. :D

Basketball has seen WAY more dramatic rule changes in terms of "making it up as they go along" because it's a much newer sport. Things like the introduction of a 3pt line, the shot clock, the half court rule etc etc all radically change the fundamental way the game is played. Also still has multiple rules depending on where in world you are. Football / Soccer is always basically the same.
@star422 жыл бұрын
1000% agree with you Mrs Wing! Modern day American Football feels like it was design around advertisements: play abit, stop for ads. Come back to the next play. Stop for more ads. Rinse and repeat, and you have yourself a game of 🏈 in USA. I would say that it is weird but it seems to fit America to the dot.

Just curious on why you prefer id4shoes over stockx and goat? Is there a difference?
@OriginalBoondocksXVIII2 жыл бұрын
For one, id4shoes is a tenured direct reseller unlike those other platforms where you'd have to deal with all that comes with a middleman service. I don't usually look for basketball shoes prior to their US release but I'd also guess that id4shoes is often if not always at least a little cheaper.

american football is interesting because it was created initially as a war game of sorts after the civil war. at its heart it is a game about gaining and losing territory. its hard to believe now but it was originally even more violent with totally different rules (for instance passing wasnt legal initially and it was more about the colliding of two opposing forces). somewhat similiar to rugby. people actually died playing it at a much higher rate then they do now because of the focus on the collision (and no helmets or pads). like everything with america, the history of america football is unique and a little weird. i only know because they talked about it at my alma mater (Rutgers) which is where the first ever game was played versus Princeton. we won. so mrs wing isnt crazy by mentioning how odd the appeal of american football is to people overseas. ive had the same experience trying to explain it to no avail.

The draw to football is strategy. Each player is a piece on the board with their own strengths and weaknesses based on their positioning on the field. It's also heavily engrained in war culture. The BLITZ-Krieg, the Quarter back, the robber, the flank this is all war terminology. But the simple answer is, we like it cuz we grew up with it

The increased competition isn't helping the price points at all. These brands are releasing generic-ish team shoes for a higher price point than the superstar player signatures with tech. From a pure performance pov I know that having a name attached doesn't matter and a lot of these shoes are outperforming signatures by a lot, it's just crazy how expensive buying bball shoes is right now.
@WearTesters2 жыл бұрын
That’s due to rising costs in manufacturing. Has nothing to do with more product competing for shelf space.

My TRC Blaze Court's forefoot rubber just ripped off in the middle where they exposed the foam and left a tip hanging in the middle, I think it's a design flaw, other than that, I love those Blaze Courts

@@vinsanity_1510 took me three sessions for the rubber to rip off, but I didn't notice it until I got home to clean the outsole, I glued the bit didn't fall off. @vinsanity_15102 жыл бұрын
@@LeonYuL that’s super frustrating. In a similar fashion the all pro had strings instead of actual lace holes that lead to tears. Puma are so close to the perfect shoe but keep letting silly design flaws get in the way. Good to hear it doesn’t effect performance though!!
