Sir, so superb lecture... Really great.. So cavitation is not avoidable in this arrangement of pump and sump suction.. And in the Cargo pumps tank is above and pump is right below.. In that also cavitation even if more suction head?

@@searainly yes sir oil tanker with COPT set up..cavitation is avoided with the amount of suction Head when the tanks are full while at the start of discharging and slowly when the level reduces AUS vacuum system - Separator is fitted and used to maintain the required suction head and finally shifting to Stripping pump towards the end?

Sir this collapasing have any relation with vaccum, as bubble area is also decreases while condensing or imploding so there any chance of vaccum which will erode metal from impeller??
