I always advocate to stick with a project car. Even if you stagnate for a while, it's okay. When you look at where you came from with a car 5, 8, 10 years ago and see all the progress it's so satisfying. But it's ultimately a decision only you can make. I say keep it.

Funny you mention that the dyno wont keep the RPM right. I get teh exact same problem with mine as well. We should probably talk to jostien about it. I get the same problem with cars.

If its got tuner 2s it needs cam gears in a bad way. In an Na application they love overlap , advance the in 1 or 2 and then keep retarding the ex cam until it stops making power. You will make another 8-10 whp on that setup with just cam gear tuning.

Got get me one those E85 tunes from you. I got a B18C1 with Integra Type R pistons 11.5 with head gasket I got. Also I ported gasket matched the head and intake. Its got a p28 chipped ecu. Pulls hard but 93 is killing my wallet and E85 is so much cheaper. I be hitting up website soon.

Man I run 28.4 degrees at wide open throttle max rpm of 8500. I run skunk2 pro 1 cams and they've been degreed. I don't have a knock sensor so wouldn't push it further, but it runs good there. It's an ls vtec with 84.5mm pistons, 11-1 compression and aem infinity ecu with t1 cam trigger kit. Jeff Evans tuned it and it's dope tbh.

Hello Hello Hello! Dented headers won't lose hp unless completely pinched off. E85 may pick up like 5-10hp on all motor. Keep the mustang, youve ironed out a ton with the car. Keep improving this chassis its a solid platform as is. Dont make it pretty make it faster!

If the compression is below 13 to 1 I'm willing to bet the cams are to big for that build. If it is a lower compression 11 to 1 engine I'm also willing to bet a type R intake manifold and tuner 1 cams will make more overall power throughout the entire power band
@lloydgrandy81894 жыл бұрын
Tuner 2s are not that big of cams. They are a great 1.8 mild compression cam. Overcamming isn't as much of a thing as people make it out to be. I have seen 207 whp out of an lsvtec with under 12-1 comp with pro 2s that people swore would be way over cammed and it doesn't have enough compression for those cams and it will never work blah blah etc. Car trapped 108-110 mph on 91 pump gas in a full interior eg. Ran low to mid 12s on a dr at a shitty ass track.

@@lloydgrandy8189 I love when people chime in that CLEARLY don't have 1st hand experience about what they are talking about lol you guy always say "well my friend's friend's friend did a dyno pull on the street 10 years ago and blah blah blah blah blah. I'll tell you from 1st hand experience cam duration/ lobe separation and compression are a huge deal in any build Especially a small displacement NA engine PERIOD this isn't something that was just figured out last week It's part of a formula engine builders have been using since the dawn of time.
@lloydgrandy81894 жыл бұрын
@@twotimes2099 i don't disagree with that fact at all. Im no professional engine builder but I've been around the block , have built and owned multiple na b series vtecs in my day. I've been messing with them since the early 2000s. These engines are capable of moving a lot of air and people like have always way over played the over camming statement. Obviously i don't mean you just throw the largest cams possible at a build and expect the best power. A well matched setup is crucial in all parts of an na setup. From my personal experience i believe you're wrong , i would bet money that car would lose power everywhere by switching to tuner 1s.

Isn’t 2hp in the all motor world like 20hp in the turbo world
@anotherdedchannelАй бұрын
Basically for every 1bsr of boost you double the horsepower. That's the idea anyways. If a 1 liter engine runs at atmospheric pressure you move 1 liter of air. If you double the pressure you double the air thus basically doubling the displacement of the engine. So by running 1 bar of boost you'd be moving 2 liters of air on a 1 liter engine.
