Grew up w Depeche Mode. The tech isn't there yet. Also could be you weren't alive during DM's era and don't quite have a natural feel for the sound. Keep trying, though. It's the only way to improve. Cheers.

🙄Capturing someone else's style is always going to be a near impossibility. And anything can be tweaked and improved more. However, it doesn't matter if you grew up with the group. In fact, this could lead to a lot of bias on your part, either you remember something else or are still a fan of Depeche Mode meaning nothing will be good enough. Nor does someone have to have grown up with a certain style to emulate it well. That's not even getting into taking two different styles and mashing them together to create this. And it is well done, even if it doesn't met what you personally think it should sound like. If anything, if the creator is interested, I would recommend a seasoned sound mixer and those in the field familiar with both groups that could probably recommend small changes far better than nostaligic people in comment sections.
