Pumping down the pond with a 3” harbor freight trash pump. Very impressed by how well this inexpensive pump works. Took about 2-3 hours.

They are more efficient if you run them at 1/3 throttle. If you run it wide open it doesn’t move more gpm it just increases the pressure. You will use less fuel and move the same amount.

Sounds like your valve lash may not be set exactly right I hear a little rocker arm rattle to it of course it might be the vibration sitting in that skid steer bucket to so hard to tell my 2" pump moves about the same amount of water to surprised the hell out of me

Another thing u wanna keep your pump as level as you can so it gets oil circulation in the engine

Also i recommend the Gator bites quick connectors to beats threading those stiff hoses on there

Was this the 3" trash pump for $900 or the semi-trash pump for $300?

This motor pump can not only pump out water, but also remove bottom sediments. But for this you will need another motor pump for clean water and a suction nozzle Bagermaster

I have a pond with lots of silt and leaves. Could I use two of these to clean it occasionally? I want something I could use seasonally.

@@fowlerhomesinc5603 yes, but it is desirable to have a motor pump that passes garbage measuring 40-50 mm. But you can also use a motor pump that passes garbage of 25-30 mm. But so that there are no large stones at the bottom
