Already posted this on FP, going to repost here for non-FP'ers Taiwan is relatively new into the EMT scene Taiwan splits their EMT certs. A Taiwanese EMT-1 is about the same level of training that Career Lifeguards, Firefighters, and Search and Rescue get. It's basically an advanced BLS Certificate, You need a bit more than that to be an EMT in the US or Canada The EMT-2 would be the equivalent level. EMT-1 is like an EMT in training or more like a US/Canadian First Responder with a little extra. That being said, with that Dennis is still definitely the most qualified out of all of them if he has that, #Would Trust if I was Dieing. Srsly though Denis you deserve some more respect around there :P

I don't know what the situation on this is in Taiwan, but I know in some countries you can basically take a first aid course that qualifies you as an EMT. It's a one-semester college course. It's not 'paramedic' level, but they probably teach CPR and basic wound treatment.
