2 can pumpkin. 1.5 cup Sugar. 3-4 tbs flour. 1 tsp cinnamon. Pinch salt. 4 tbs Corn syrup. 3 🥚 3 cups 🥛. Spray 9by 13 w pam. 450 10 min take it out put cake mix and stick a butter on top, put back in oven then 325 30 more minutes Cool whip it and eat!!

I make this (a slightly different filling recipe) and it is SOOOO good! It is my niece’s favorite! It’s so easy and so delicious. I do sprinkle hickory nuts or pecans over the top after putting the butter on...so good!!

@Appalachian-Blue Ridge Cooking : I'll have to try this recipe, love pumpkin. I love the dump cakes, so easy, but the dry mixture on top, yuck. I break up the cake mix in a separate bowl until it's a finer consistency then add the melted butter and blend until all mix is covered with the butter, I use margarine actually. 🌻

Ladies, if you will put the cake mix on top of your filling (whatever it may be...Pumpkin, apple, cherry) then put the slices of butter and nuts on top of the cake mix and then bake, it will all bake together and be delicious with no dry spots at all. I've made all varieties of "Dump Cakes" for 30 years and I've never baked the filling then added the cake mix and continued to bake it. I've never had a recipe that called for doing it that way. That's why it's called a "Dump Cake"...Everything goes into the dish at one time and then it is baked.

Sometimes people ask the dumbest questions about whether or not you can do this or that or exchange ingredients. It's your kitchen, do what you want. It may turn out, it may not. Personally, I've been off my game in the kitchen lately. Too much mayo in potato salad, too much vinegar in the cole slaw. If it's not one thing, it's your mother 😊
