Lance Henriksen did another fabulous October film called "NEAR DARK" (1987) that co-stars Bill Paxton, both of whom were in "ALIENS" (1986). Put it up for a vote, you'll love it. I don't know where you got that information from but its wrong. It's actually based on the poem called Pumpkin head its actually a old poem. This is confirmed on the audio commentary an other bonus features for this movie. With the actual writers of the movie The only thing that you got right. Is it was Stan Winston's first time directing a movie an you only got that part right.

This movie is actually based on the poem called Pumpkin head you heard some of it. When the ones where taunting her brother after he took the ball. Now this movie was originally supposed to be released a year earlier. On Halloween but before it was about to be released that movie studio went bankrupt. So it wasn't released on time it was released a year later wich hurt it at the Box office. Now about the Pumpkin Head creature. It looks like a Xenomorph because Stan Winston's movie company did the Aliens movie. So they used a bare bones Xenomorph body suit for the creature. The feat where from the original Predator custom that was not used in the Predator movie. But the head was all new an so where the hands. But after this movie they reused the same hand design in future Alien movies. Because Stan Winston directed this movie. So his special effects company did the special effects on it. So there is some fun facts about the movie from the audio commentary an other bonus features for the movie.

Ah good ol;e Pumpkinhead. On a tangent. After 30 years my dad divorced my mom so I told her that we needed to think of a new last name for her And I offered up Paula Von Pumpkinhead. The look I got for thart suggestion should have killed me on the spot.
