Knife laws in Texas and the USA have been relaxed over the past few years. Knives that were once illegal are now legal within limits such as size restrictions. However, just like firearms, it is still illegal to carry knives in some places such as where alcohol is consumed and is the main source of income, such as Bars. If you are going to carry a knife, know the local laws and be careful.
@exploatores2 ай бұрын
I kind of think size restrictions when it comes to knifes are kind of strange. is not like you can hide a knife with a 7.5 inch blade. but a 2 inch blade is easy. both are kind of leathal if you know. how to use them.

@@exploatores While I'm a big fan of compact knives... Let me tell ya, you'd be surprised just what you can conceal on your person with a bit of effort, skill, and the right gear. Punch daggers are small and easy to carry/conceal. They are quick to deploy and naturally ambidextrous. They’re difficult to be taken from you and intuitive to use without specialized training. One of the biggest advantages is that the T-handle allows you to maintain use of your hand and still retain the knife. That means you can still use your hand to grapple and can also keep the knife in your hand while drawing and gripping a gun.

I've started carrying push daggers about 6 years ago, my first model was cbk175 but it had too thin handle. Since the beginning I've tested approximately 15 diffrent designs and for me rubber handles makes the biggest sense. Since the summer 2022 I've switched to cold steel push dagger lines and I carry 3 models up to now depending on my clothing. Cold steel urban edge - the smallest od them 2 inch bladed one The one I carry 90% of the time Safe maker 2 about 2.5 inch And safe maker 1 4inch All of them share very well shock absorbing rubber grips and even strong hits into wooden surface ain't gonna hurt your fist They have a chisel grind blades that makes them more durable on their tips, easier to penetrate and they leave wider wound channels on impact In terms of handling them I prefer holding em between my ring and middle finger as I get the best control of the knife In the position you might not get the ideal line with your hand but the penetration is efortless eigher way If you don't excercise your grip strength I would not recommend you a 4 inch bladed model, Ive never had a situation when it rolled in my fist but I've got pretty strong forearms and grip and it can be an issue if yours are weaker The genral rule for me is The longer the blade the harder it is to index properly, hit where you want it to hit so I' d recommend a safe maker 2 as the most universal option To sum it up, it's a great, light, comfortable to carry due to t shape handle, easy to use and penetrate deeply without much body strength self defense knife thats mostly impossible to disarm ❤

A a fan of brigadier general Hughes from full metal alchemist I love push daggers, harder to disarm and as you said a force multiplier ontop of adding slashing/cutting trauma on your bludgeoning Also give you 1-3 inches extra reach (anymore and may as well invest in a katar) I find whether middle of index and middle or middle and ring depends on A) anatomy, sometimes it just fits better, sometimes the index and middle are longer and support the blade better sometimes the middle and ring are longer Or you’re benny “the jet” Urquidez and have massive level knuckled hands and it doesn’t matter because they’re sledgehammer heads lol B) technique, depending on how you punch may also determine where the blade sits better in your hand I studied hapkido and when punching emphasis was on the middle and ring knuckles as the premise was to align those knuckles with the radius and ulna, whereas my cousin studied kungfu their emphasis was index and middle knuckles and align them to the radius and ulna(I found this way meant less support for your ring and pinky meaning if your punch was off there was a risk you’d smack those knuckles and might fracture them) That also affected the respective “knuckle-punch” techniques; hapkido favouring the middle finger and kungfu favouring the index to “knuckle-punch” Primarily these blows irrespective of knuckle used were moreso used to target more sensitive areas or pressure points than to deal direct concussive force Add a fixed blade instead of a knuckle then that’d more than just a multiplier but a force squared or cubed lol

If you don't want to go to prison, know your local laws regarding what weapons are legal to own or carry in your municipality. If you still are not sure, consult a licensed attorney. Now, the latter may cost you some money (since most attorneys don't give out legal advice for free), but the amount you spend on consulting a licensed attorney for clarification on the laws in your area will invariably be *much* less than the fees you'd spend on trying to defend yourself in court if you are arrested for carrying a proscribed weapon. Granted, you can readily figure out what's legal and what's not by simply reading the laws yourself, but if you are _really_ worried, consulting an attorney is your safest bet.

As a European im not sure how legal these are in my country.... However i learned from my ex girlfriend who was rather small in height that if she ever felt threatened when walking alone she would cradle her main car key between her long/ring finger and keep her fist clenched in her pocket until she felt she was out of trouble. You might be small and have not a lot of force punching someone, but when someone gets an inch or two of a Mazda key through their cheek you will probably stun the individual enough that it will get you a better chance of running away.

Thank you very much for making this very simple and short since knifes are just simple things. But in some over regulated socialist communist states, counties and towns they can be against the law, so be careful with what you run by checking your local laws before you get caught with something that can potentially put you in trouble with those laws, weather you use it or not, parts of Communist California one of these is definitely illegal to have, use or own.
@ValdemarFIN6432 ай бұрын
Using a knife for "self-defense" is pretty still-born idea anyway. If you pull a knife on a guy who hasn't got one, congratulations, you are going to jail. If the other guy also has one, you might avoid the jail since both of you are bleeding out on the way to the hospital. And if the other guy has a gun... well you know how the saying goes. Even if you had even a halfway legit reason for knife fights (? yeah right), you would be better off with something that has everyday purpose as a tool, not this mall ninja shit.
@Malkavon2 ай бұрын
You should stop using words like 'socialist' and 'communist' when you don't know what they mean. Your point isn't even a bad one - knives in general and punch-daggers in specific can be highly regulated in some areas, so checking your local laws to ensure you don't unknowingly run afoul of them is a good idea. (If you know that they are illegal and don't give a shit about that for whatever reason, obviously more power to you.) But calling any state in the US "socialist" and/or "communist" just makes you look like you have no idea what you're talking about. *Especially* calling California "Communist" - y'know, the place that codified modern anti-firearms legislation under *Ronald Fuckin' Reagan*.
