I'm pretty sure Aran Ryan also dies in both matches against him. There's a slight heartbeat that apparently, I've never heard it, can be heard during the TKO/KO animation that abruptly stops after Aran Ryan twitches at the end of it. So I'm like 85% sure Aran Ryan goes into Cardiac Arrest and doesn't recover in title defense.

It's a real shame that, with the exception of Bear Hugger and Great Tiger's KO/TKO animations, the Title Defense KOs are the same as the originals. I think they should've added a bit more to the KO animations to add further impact that Little Mac had not only gotten stronger, but is more than capable of holding onto his championship title.
