Assuming wins and losses are listed for anything other than career (or were reset when he temporarily retired or something) I think he would make an excellent Title Bout. Mechanics-wise, his style is the same as Don Flameno and is perfect for throwing players for a loop following their first few fights against different styles. In Title Defense, I imagine he could turn into a similar fight to King Hippo, where he’s a heavy lump of defense with a weak spot. You punch just before one of his attacks and then need to hit him once or twice in the gut before going for his head, which does a third of his health in one hit. It’s a tough fight, but he doesn’t get back up when he goes down. Story-wise: He is confident and a bit brash, and he taunts you relentlessly during the fight to show off his excellent defense. As you whittle him down, he becomes more serious as he realizes he needs to take this seriously. When he finally goes down, the last thing that goes down is his head and his face is written over with shock and distress. For Title Defense, his cutscene shows him at the doctor’s office, who is clearly concerned about his head injuries. He seems to ignore him, but when you next fight he guards his head nearly perfectly and remains much more defensive throughout. Hitting his head is the key, and he clearly takes each hit hard. When he goes down, he quickly stands up, only to fall down again. Try as he might, he is down for the count after just one round.

Yeah someone even went and made a video that counted up how many rule break's each fighter does in the Wii Punch Out and even after a second video where he both went back and counted up all the infractions he had missed in the Wii punch out (and going though the fighters of Super Punch out) it was found that Sandman doesn't break any rules unlike everyone else in the Wii version. (though he did note that a ref could clam that his shorts don't properly show where his waste is in title defense, even though they do)

List of the fighters stereotypes and some references/comparisons to real world boxing. Glass Joe has your usual french stereotype of just being very frail, his name combined with the french accent sounds like "Glass jaw" which is a slang for a weakness every boxer has when hit on the chin. Von Kaiser has your typical german stereotype of being militarist and shouts all of his lines (or inside voice if you're german, really) Disco Kid is your stereotypical... disco kid from brooklyn, his fighting style may be inspired/influence by "prince" Naseem Hamed that also dances in his fight. Though this maybe a coincidence. King Hippo is a Hippo. Piston Hondo is a stereotypical japanese samurai, he has a infighting/swarmer and counterboxing fighting style with his rapid punches and quick dodges if you mess up. Bear Hugger is a leaf. Great Tiger is Indian stereotype. Don Flamenco is spaniard stereotype, also has banger theme. Aran Ryan is a faithful representation of your typical irish folk, he has a dirty boxing style albeit very cartoonish. The moves in which he uses the ring rope to launch himself to headbutt is a real cheat move that dirty boxer use. Soda Popinski doesn't have any russian stereotype ironically enough, but his constant abuse of soda is deffinitely russian if you just change those soda into vodka. The only thing turkish about Bald Bull is just that mustache. Super Macho Man is a californian. Mr. Sandman is Philadelphian, he has the slugger boxing style which is just to brute force your opponent. Donkey Kong is african-american. Nah, i'm joking, he's monkey. Bonus: Little Mac has an outfighting style where he keeps his distance and relies on quick punches to win. Doc Louis is an ex-heavyweight championship and he is the inventor of the star punch, it can be assumed that Doc has the same fighting style as Mac
