I jumped off my couch cheering when this first aired! Unreal! Brian had some serious balls to just throw away $5000. This and the episode in 1984 where the lady had only one punch and got the $10000 are best moments in punch a bunch history.
@tnawcwvictoria3 жыл бұрын
and another moment was when the late Tom Kennedy hosted the Nighttime Syndicated Version from 1985/1986 and there was a lady that got $50 and a Second Chance and punched out the hole with $10,000 and Tom's Version became the 1st to give away more than $10,000 on the Punchboard

Moments like that show just how natural Bob was as a host. No one else could have played that moment like he did, having everyone believing Bryan messed up royally before revealing that the gamble paid off.

The 1:11 mark shows why Bob is the king of Game Show hosts. He kept a straight face when he open the $10,000 card. And feel sorry for him to make him he made a bad decision till he revealed the card to the Bryan and the Audience.

Still to this date one of the most memorable and gutsiest moment of “The Price is Right”. You see, the odds of Bryan getting the $10,000 after punching out the $5,000 was a 4% chance (2/49) since there are two slips of $10,000 Even Bob is astounded by his decision. $5000 is a lot to give back. But “Lady Luck” was on Bryan’s side. Now that they’ve updated the top prize to $25,000 in Punch A Bunch, it’d be hard to dare give back $10,000 unless you’re Bryan here 😂 #RIPBobBarker 🙏🏻❤️
