This gave me ptsd from helping ALL my friends complete the water temple. I still to this day know the place like the back of my hand.

Nope, I still think we got 2 more to go. The shadow temple with Impa, and then Nabooru (the gerudo lady) should be the last, and then Ganondorf.

There are at least three parts left. I don't know what you're talking about thinking Link has the Triforce? First of all, he already has the Triforce of Courage, which is all he ever gets in Ocarina of Time, but that's just a plot point. Second, why would the Triforce be in the Water Temple of all places? Not to mention the Triforce already appeared in front of Ganondorf after Link drew the Master Sword back at the end of Part 1. Last but _certainly_ not least, Link's journey right now is to awaken the sages, and he has four out of six. Do you guys remember _anything_ about this game? The post-credits scene was Link trying to get the Fire Arrow. The plaque he read says to shoot the sun as it rises. It's more poetic/flowery than that, but that's what it says.

The key Terminal Montage had Link looking everywhere for isn't the key that infamously had players believing once upon a time that the Water Temple could be solved incorrectly such that it became impossible. The fact that he had Link push a block to reveal the chest means that that was key #6. The infamous key is key #5. Technically it's the second infamous key, but the route to the first infamous key (the basement path under the buoyant platform that rises with the water in the innermost room) didn't lead to a key in TM's recreation of the Water Temple. Key #5 is the one where you play the Song of Time behind the Longshot chest to open a path to the room below, where you navigate a water-filled corridor with whirlpools in it (the snake-shaped room on the map). At the end you shoot an eye switch and jump past the gate it opens before it closes, and then open the chest right there. The players who missed it once upon a time either save and quit after getting the Longshot to take a break after Dark Link, or they just didn't explore the room with the Longshot to find the Song of Time block behind the chest, and just returned to the central room. The fact that the 3DS version has the Song of Time block on top of the hole it covers rather than in it, so it's visible as soon as you enter the room, is proof enough of the second one. By the time players would be looking for that key, it would probably be the last chest in the dungeon besides the Boss Key itself, but the layout of the dungeon as seen on the map would make it hard to figure out how to get there. I don't remember if entering the Longshot room fills in the snake-shaped room on the map or not, but either way with out the map is laid out players would probably assume the way to the chest would be through the opening high up on the wall of the swirling current room with the dragon statue (that's actually the exit to the snake-shaped room). The funny thing is that nothing would change about the intended route if the last two keys didn't exist. You use both specifically along the path to the Boss Key, but the first obstacle along the path to the Boss Key is a progression check that you're meant to use the Longshot to get past. Even funnier is that it's possible to get past it without the Longshot by using bombs to exploit how interaction with Link's hitbox by things that damage him messes with his speed, and doing so with the Water Temple as it is can make the dungeon genuinely impossible, while removing the last two keys and the locks they're meant to be used on completely solves this issue. It's not even like removing the last two keys would render the path to key #5 pointless, either. It's still a faster way back from where you get the Longshot compared to retracing your steps, plus for completionists there's still a Gold Skulltula there.

"or they just didn't explore the room with the Longshot to find the Song of Time block behind the chest, and just returned to the central room" yup, that was me, 10 or maybe 14 year old me, back in a time where internet was not in my home yet so looking for an answer online was not an option, i ended up looking everywhere just like the video, for hours, and yeah, the snake shaped room was not filled in my map, so my only option was to try and get up through the snake room exit door, which as you say, was high up in the swirling current room, but it was impossible to climb so after some days i gave up and my save file was lost to time (heh, time) then years later i replayed it, and ended up in the exact same situation, but with internet this time, i didn't even know about the infamous water temple, but i totally understood why it was so awful, it's not even the boots in and boots out mechanic, it's just the retracing one has to do when missing that one key, which was hidden so bad, i'm glad to hear the 3D version fixed it

@@frijolitoazul4343 The 3DS version also had the camera pan down to the hole TM made a Blue's Clues joke/reference about when you raise the water to level 2. Also the three places where you can change the water level are color-coded, and there glowing lines throughout the main room that serve as guides to their locations. Basically they did about as much as they could to remove confusion and tedium short of completely redesigning the temple.

Actually Link does not have the Triforce, The Triforce is Split in three Pieces after Ganondorf touched it. While Big G hunts for the Pieces they reside in Link and Zelda all the time. what Link is doing here is awakening the sages so they can aid him to reach Ganondorf.
