If it helps another video happen, you actually have a bunch of hub unlocks now queued up since you won a run. The problem is the game only unlocks them one at a time each time you go back to town. Plus side though is each time you go back to main menu then start up a new game on repeat, you can go through the unlocks one at a time to go through your entire unlock buffer. Hope it helps the content train to keep on a rolling. XD

Not sure if someone else has covered this but, with a full heal collected every extra heal crystal you get with a full charge auto heals you for 10 hp so nothing's wasted. Hope that helps! Still my favorite KZbinr, keep doing your thing!

Retro, you need to reach end like 4 times each time you do the game gets harder, like heat system in Hades but better cuz it changes moves of enemies, the last one changes attack patterns of bosses, IT IS SO AWESOME to see new attacks

this game is really awesome & I want this series to go further. I get why you hate the meta progress a lot, but as you have seen: You are so good, that you don´t need the meta stuff to win a run! Love your channel :)

If u wanted to get a true ending, you’ll have to beat the final boss on the ascension 6. Then you’ll have a very hard time beating him. Would love to watch this as a series.

Glad to see another vid on this game! Regarding the 4 moves in a pattern before refreshing, something that might help using them is to imagine yourself building combos with them. Helps with visualizing what move will come out next. Or maybe not, everyone's brain works differently :)

The attack visuals in this game remind me of One Step From Eden. I feel like these types of reactionary, fast paced games do well to give combat that sort of rhythmic feel in how enemies stage their attacks. Helps to get into it more and give a better sense of pacing to combat.

Hey reto. I know how you say that your not the biggest fan of this style of meta progression because it’s essentially grinding to get stronger but does it feel like it’s over egregious with the grind? Or does it not feel like too much of a noticeable change?

This game definitely has an egregious grind. It does seem like it has extra difficulty levels, so you'll max out eventually, but the grind is definitely present. You can also see how big of an impact it has, run 1 was brutal and everything was deadly, run 2 with just a little meta-prog was honestly quite easy.

I agree with this, however I find the gameplay enjoyable and with the amount of unlocks you get in regards to new spells .etc still allows runs to feel fresh. Especially with the later levels and variance of choice for rooms and such. So the meta is a minor thing for me in comparison. Even though I tend not to like most meta..

Man, the voice acting disappoints me. It's pretty good, but you can tell the directing was done on the cheap, relying on the talent to make it sound good without giving them full context for what's happening. For instance: Kiran responding to Virgo saying she wants silence, he should say 'Oh, I'll *GIVE* you silence!' However, he stresses the wrong word, saying 'I'll give you *SILENCE!*' The game is pretty well done, but this is a relatively easy issue to fix so I can't just overlook it.

Yea too much meta progress. I can apprreciate the desire for engagement and content but its the same as AAA microtransactions imo, the currency is just your time. Lack of respect for the dollar in microtrans lack of respect for minutes in MiniMeta progress.
