You got 37+ kmpl? Amazing! I get around 30-32 only. I did Bangalore-Mysore-Bangalore a distance of 300km. I started with around 11-11.5ltr fuel. When I came back home, I had already done about 9-10km on reserve i.e fuel level had dropped to below 2ltr. I was riding continuously above 85kmh with top speeds of 120+ kmh. Only in few places, my speed had dropped below 60kmh

Hi +Ajay Kaushik, I rarely cross 100kmph. 80kmph-90kmph range gives good fuel efficiency if you are smooth with the throttle. Bangalore-Mysore 👍👍 Yes, small tank range is irritating on such long rides. I have faced Bangalore traffic on my RTR 200 & it surely brings down the fuel efficiency figures.

@ZR1Gamer
@ZR1Gamer 6 жыл бұрын
The RTR 200's sweetspot is 90-100kmhr and above that efficiency goes down due to the lack of 6th gear.If it had a 6th gear,It would have been doing 110-120 kmhr and still be giving 35kmpl.
@ajaykaushik2272
@ajaykaushik2272 6 жыл бұрын
ZR1 Gamer The bike stable even at 130+ kmh. This means that riding at 90kmh is just not exciting enough. There's always that tendency to keep pushing the limits. Mileage drops to city levels itself when riding like that

Hi +nikhil borkar, Check this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJSYk2CtmJdsfc0 Carburetor tuning is a process which needs one to understand the engine & for a new rider/DIY person it is very easy to go wrong. Let's see if I can come up with a detailed video.

Which petrol you would suggest for better power and mileage for rtr 200, !
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Hi, I usually go for the regular petrol at a good petrol pump (try to go with the company own & company operated ones). The compression ratio on the RTR 200 doesn't demand high octane fuel but TVS does recommends certain fuel additives. Here is a video on that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGLRqXx3ecmqf7M

The Sportztourer thanks bro, what happens if we use it before the mention km. And mine is two weeks old its about 180km run but its drinking petrol like anything, I filled 8.5 litres now its in the reserve . With new bikes is this normal or should I be worried?
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Its a new engine & you are in the run in period. Its common to get low fuel efficiency & issues like heating & false neutrals. Wait for atleast 1500-2000km. If you feel the fuel efficiency is too low then get the carburetor tuned at the first service.

Nice video. Liked and subscribed. I have been searching internet a lot to know the cruising speed of RTR 200? Today after watching your video I got to know that it is 100 to 110. Thanks. How good is the suspension on RTR 200. Does it hurt the back in potholes and bumpy/bad roads? How good is the headlight? Please let me know.

@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
The fuel efficiency part only comes when I refill. I have mentioned about suspension system, cruising speeds, heat management, hill riding experience, braking etc in the 2nd part (Indore ride), Bangalore ride, Rajasthan ride videos. The last part of the Rajasthan ride will be totally on the performance of the machines. Thanks for giving an useful feedback, do mention anything specific you want to see in the performance part.

The Sportztourer I would love to hear more about engine refinement/performance from tourer point of view and is there a huge difference between carb and fi in terms of refinement...I love this bike but I have rode the previous generation rtrs and the vibration made my palms numb so that exp was horrifying and its a big doubt in my mind I want to clear before I go for it......
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
I can totally understand your point, I had the 1st generation RTR 180 for more than 6 years & the vibrations really increased my fatigue on long rides (have seen a lot of India on it). The 200 on other hand is one of the smoothest & refined single cylinder in the market today. Refinement is excellent & the gearbox perfectly matches it. If you cruise at 110+kmph then you will miss the 6th gear otherwise this motorcycle is an all rounder.

29KMPL sounds a bit low.Here are somethings I can think of - Clean Air Filter,Clean and retune Carburettor,Clean,Re-lubricate and tighten your chain,Check both brakes if they are running the discs unnecessarily. I am Pretty sure that the SVC messed up the Carburettor for the most part.Very Incompetent people.

hi bro. can we increase the height of rtr 200 handle bar. so can we use risers of what type
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Can be converted into single piece bar handle. The one from the new RTR 160 can be fitted should increase the height around 1inch (estimated). If it is raised more like in the Enfields then the wiring (for switches), cable, hose will need to be replaced.

Long ride any performance lag in rtr200? How comfortable for long ride?... engine heating for 100kelmeter one straight struch? Which one is good rtr200 vs duke200
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Hi +manu raj, The 200 is comfortable than the RTR 160/180. No performance lag or over heating issues. I have ridden this bike for more than 300 km at a stretch during my Bangalore ride with no issues. The Duke 200 is more powerful & performs better. Comfort wise the RTR 200 is better than the Duke. Check out the part 2 of this video it should help you with your doubts. Ride safe.

Weekend Riders 4-6 hours at a constant 100-110kmhr.Take rest after that.
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Hi +Weekend Riders, Generally the optimum cruising speed for most of the motorcycle are around 70 percent of the red line rpm. If you ride a 220cc bike at around 90kmph then taking breaks every 2 hours or around 80-100km is beneficial for both the motorcycle & rider. Assuming you ride a Bajaj 220cc bike, you will be happy to know Bajaj test these engines (During R&D) at high RPMs continuously for more than 12 hours.

@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Hi +ashish yadav, Complete the run in period, let the engine settle down after 1st service so that you can enjoy the ride without worrying. Ideally after 1500-2000km should be fine but I couldn't control & started touring on my 180 & 200 right after the 1st service 😀
@ZR1Gamer
@ZR1Gamer 6 жыл бұрын
The Sportztourer Actually I think that touring on a brand new bike with a speed under 60-70kmhr is kind of good,as the speed is constant and it causes an even wear and proper engine run-in rather than say,in Traffic with variying speeds and Engine RPM.
@thesportztourer
@thesportztourer 6 жыл бұрын
Yes +ZR1 Gamer, even I did that. Only thing that bothers me is that most of the problems/niggles/small issues faced on bikes are during the initial stage. Small problems like chain adjustment, clutch set up, run in of the brake pads, carburetor adjustments are sorted after the 1st service. So I absolutely agree with you on following the run in process on the highway 👍 But I would be a bit paranoid taking a brand new bike on a 1000km endurance ride. Ride safe.

The initial power & punch on the 180 is very enjoyable in the city & the gearing is fantastic for city ride. If you ask for an alternative the the Duke 200 will be my pick for city ride (it misses out on the ABS). All the best with the decision making 👍
