If there was a problem noticed in ECG then the medical team should have accompanied with him excepting that he may require CPR. Not behind the car . If he would have got CPR on right time then there could have been a chance for his survival. Awareness could save our loved ones

I wish he had given first aid when he saw those strains in his ecg reports. Nobody walks into the clinic for being tired and especially a fit person. At the least, as a doctor he should have suggested to go in an ambulance since when he had the attack, he would have got the shock treatment as a preliminary treatment to save and revive his heart. I am very disappointed that the few statements that this doctor has made does not make sense for example him reachjng to viktam hospital in 5 mins and stuff. If his HR was normal, why was ecg run in the first place. He was diagnosed by acute heart failure(as per the report from the doc from vikram hospital) and that he was not given any preliminary treatment to revive his heart and not sent him in an ambulance where the first aid is available. This is very irresponsible action.

Given his ECG pattern it’s prudent to transport him to a bigger hospital because of the lack of advanced equipment’s in the clinic. And as far as first aid, he was walking while going in and out of the clinic. The best possible decision was to transfer him to a bigger hospital. An ambulance may take time to arrive as well, if there isn’t one in the clinic. And it is not very usual for a 46 year old person to be in this situation. Any doctor at that time will be expecting a positive outcome given his body physique and no history of diseases. And ECG is a part of the basic cardiac examination. Heart rate is not the only indication for performing an ECG. First aid at stand by probably would have been helpful when he left the clinic but nobody would have expected that from an otherwise healthy 46 year old male. It’s very easy to blame someone from very far without trying to understand what they imply

But when he says there was an ‘impending danger’ and if there was no ambulance, he being his Family doctor and whom appu calls him appaji, he should have atleast accompanied him so that he could have done a CPR when his heart was failing. @@namauste yes. It’s true no life should be taken lightly. Doctors always treat on the basis of most likely diagnosis in emergency and 95/100 times they are correct. They cannot predict everything. Nobody on the first place might have thought he might need a CPR. There are wide range of variations in ECG that may not be fatal immediately.And yes someone should have been there to do CPR if it wasn’t done, but they might have tried CPR when his heart stopped . This doctor has a clinic and has an important duty to attend his patients who need him. As you said any lives should not be taken lightly, the lives of common people matter too. We don’t know exactly what happened there. Saving a patient is a group work, one doctor cannot perform all the roles. I am myself an admirer of Puneeth Rajkumar and was shocked . Everybody are sad . Doesn’t mean we should go back and point fingers at others saying what could have been done and not done. Only those who were involved in that situation know what happened exactly and the intensity of it.

@@gurudathprabhu8059 There was no need of advanced equipments, portable defibrillator (AED) doesn't cost much, having that is not a burden on celeb doctor who charges 10,000 per person for master health check-up. If the doctor was only general physician, I wouldn't have commented but he's "Cardiologist", he's studied heart. Initially doctor didn't reveal about Puneeth's dizziness in first interviews, when people questioned about collapse in clinic, then Doctor revealed that puneeth had dizziness & 3 people had to lift to get him into the car. Isn't this enough for a cardiologist to understand how serious was he?? Strain in ECG + dizziness means his heart wasn't pumping enough blood to brain, heart was already inefficient. In such serious condition, how could a doctor send a patient in a simple car without medical support? How could he survive in the traffic? It's doctor's fault. Look, doctor said in interview that it's impossible to save patient from cardiac arrest, was he lying or doesn't he even know that it's possible to save? A simple AED would've saved him.

There were 2 possible ways to save him in that situation, 1~ In moving car, it's difficult to perform CPR efficiently but if Doctor had accompanied them in car with AED, he could've revived puneeth. Or he should've given AED to Ashwini and taught her how to use it. 2~ If doctor had kept puneeth in clinic and performed CPR effectively, puneeth would've survived till ambulance with defibrillator arrives. Then shift him for further treatment. It all happened due to doctor's ignorance or lack of sharpness. He sent a serious cardiac patient in a simple car without thinking how could he survive in traffic without medical support. This is not expected from a celebrity cardiologist. In Western countries, they install AED in public places but in India, even doctor doesn't have that?? It's unbelievable.

Worst Mistake done by Mr Appu sir, when he was sweating and feeling different he should have called Ambulance and gone to main hospital..rather than family doctor....time wasted there... I had a similar issue of sweating after having a food....but in USA called 911 a ambulance came in 3 - 4 minute and took me there along with trained staff..and since I was sweating.. they took me in hospital directly to ICU and treated accordingly..

As per reports, appu anna collapsed in his car while going to Vikram hospital. His family doctor is saying that he followed behind appu anna's car only , then he should have stopped their car and done cpr when he got to know that appu anna has collapsed in the car. Immediate measure could have saved appu anna 😭😢 . In such critical condition usually if the person is going to a better hospital, he should definitely be accompanied by a doctor , so that immediate first aid can be given at the right time. 😞

When it's cardiac arrest it's actually really tough for someone, I guess he should have reached the hospital bit early though it would have been the same case, but still might have helped somewhat.

This doctor was too careless. He could have given him life support while shifting him to Vikram hospital. Doctor's version is he has sent him in Puneet's car and asked him not to sit but lie down. Instead he could have shifted in an fully life supportive ambulance.

I am not a dr...but I seriously feel the dr..did not diagnose it properly...he seems to be not updated he kept on saying there is a chapter in medicine called sudden death...just shying away from taking responsibility...he said he diganozed for a min and did ecg in a minute ....is it even possible? He said he put crocin...? He totally took it lightly...

If there was any signs of trouble the should try to stabilize him by making him lie down flat. This will allow blood circulation to brain even when heart is not functioning properly Next is to administer CPR and call for an ambulance that has emergency equipment. Instead he was asked to go to big hospital by himself in his private car

When you saw the strain in ECG, you should have arranged an ambulance atleast🤦 to vikram which will have 1st aid atleast sir. Come on.... How did you send him alone without accompanying him🤦🤦🤦

@@pradeepdm6972 It doesn't matter whether the Doctor accompany him or not. As soon as they saw the ECG live report, they knew he has to be rushed into hospital. Things that went wrong : 1. Their is no time to wait for the ambulance as he is in too critical condition as per ECG report. 2. I hope he was giving Asprin tablet atleast before taking to vikram Hospital. Asprin tablet really helps in easing the blood cloth during stork or heart attack. But no one know whether he was given that medication or not. 3. The car in which they took him was not equipped with CPR medial Aid. On the other hand, they could not wait for the ambulance either. 4. His flow of blood to the brain and heart was restricted due to plaque or rupture in his arteries causing chest pain. Hence he was sweeting & later got unconscious. Symptoms of post heart attack. 5. In the mid way to the vikram hospital, he had "cardiac arrest". Please not : Cardiac arrest is different from heart attack. When cardiac happens you only have 5-10 minutes to review the patient. Things that could have saved him : 1. If the car was equipped with CPR medical aid. 2. If the that clinic, what Punith Raj kumar visited, atleast had a mini ambulance with CPR kit. 3. Hoping he had been given atleast Aspirin medical atleast. Therefore, it was a serious of unfortunate event, where Punith didn't had much time. It was not his day !. I hope people never forget him for the things what he has done in his short life span. May he rest in peace ! 🕉
