Love Jimmy from way back when. A master. I discovered Wayne and Mike through these videos. Wayne's playing is so unique and inventive...harmonically and rhythmically interesting...not a standard lick to be found. I love when around 6:17 when he just decides to show some chops. Incredible. And Mike Landau, well he has become my favorite guitarist ever.

Steve Morse is my absolute favourite composer-guitarist , of all time , but JH is very unique , who is also a disciple of Morse ! There are amazing guitar players , like Tony Spada of Holding Pattern or Michael Gregory , check them out !

Cool, will do. Love a bit Guthrie Govan myself. But JH is amazing, too. Morse is fantastic as well. Shawn Lane was a genius and the stuff he wrote and played in his short career is mind blowing!

Guthrie is an absolute genius & Shawn Lane also sited Morse as his ultimate influence ! I assume you must've checked The Aristocrats already ?.... Guthrie , Minnemann & Beller - What a trio !....

wes worach Yeah, seen them once and going again in December! If you haven't seen them live, you should get yourself a ticket when they play near you. Different level musicianship! I think Lane's favourite guitarist was Allan Holdsworth. I appreciate Holdsworth is obviously very technical, but i think you have to be a guitarist, or at least a musician, to truly appreciate his stuff. I don't play anything so who am i to say?!
